yeah that'd be the benefit of it, a downside would be trying to find work for years in your field of study, i've just seen it happen to so many of my friends and they eventually have to find something else

yeah, i've been working since 15, 31 now and have had jobs everywhere from the food industry to clerical and management, it's easy for me to get a job cause of that

I'm employing myself for similar reasons. My health was getting really bad when I was working in retail

I was in the same place for about a year. I wouldn't have quit unless someone else told me to tbh. I felt this weird loyalty towards them that they didn't even deserve lol.

I was disassociating on a daily basis because I put too much heart into when I worked and would get really stressed when I couldn't make the baseline, even though nobody else was either because it was unreasonable af

Also the physical work wasn't really the healthy kind. It was starting to put a LOT of stress on my arms, elbow joint was starting to feel really fucked. There was supposed to be a 30lb limit on how much they could pack in the totes we had to move around all day long, but they often hit 50lb.

It's the kind of repetitive movement that goes from being exercise to just being downright damaging lol
