banks do not like giving loans to build anymore

and they are very complicated

and usually involve paying contractors out of pocket so

not likely to get a mortgage for farm land

and will not get a mortgage for a farm house. period

I have had to change a lot of farm yards over to residential because of loan denials

We have laws that basically say you can't foreclose on a home quarter farm house

So banks won't touch them
