Part of the problem is that a lot of people are just saying things like "people and the media need to stop fearmongering about the coronavirus," and that's a shitty attitude to take. Knowing about it helps one protect oneself, and it's better than the alternative of nobody saying anything about it.

Yeah, the media is for sure fear mongering but the people saying "O IT JUST FLU" Dont understand the simple fact that if we dont find a vaccine for it, or find ways to stop it from spreading it could become a global outbreak on a scale we've never seen before and it could have SERIOUS CONSEQUENCES for the economy at large.
