ur joookkkiingggg

2020-03-12 17:05:37 UTC

I had to go to the ER and that shit cost me $500 for the lab tests alone

2020-03-12 17:05:54 UTC

Always ask for an itemized bill

2020-03-12 17:05:54 UTC

OOF I couldn’t imagine

2020-03-12 17:05:59 UTC

Yeah in the UK you get told that xray screenings are too expensive

2020-03-12 17:06:14 UTC

And sent home with some painkillers

2020-03-12 17:06:33 UTC

In Canada

2020-03-12 17:06:34 UTC

You have to pester them for months before being taken seriously and usually the damage is done by that time

2020-03-12 17:06:44 UTC

you get the xray in about an hour

2020-03-12 17:06:47 UTC

for free

2020-03-12 17:06:47 UTC

yay

2020-03-12 17:07:10 UTC

Canada is just cheaper in general

2020-03-12 17:07:18 UTC

For me in Canada it would take me like.. 2 hours to get an xray

2020-03-12 17:07:20 UTC

Why do you think people go there for insulin?

2020-03-12 17:07:24 UTC

but that was a looooooong time ago

2020-03-12 17:08:07 UTC

> you get the xray in about an hour
@Syenite
🇽 Doubt

2020-03-12 17:08:33 UTC

@Syenite there's one case of corona in winnipeg

2020-03-12 17:08:45 UTC

When I had appendicitus I got a CT in less than an hour

2020-03-12 17:08:51 UTC

Damn

2020-03-12 17:09:00 UTC

just one

2020-03-12 17:09:02 UTC

And when I go to get blood work I rarely wait longer than ten minutes

2020-03-12 17:09:21 UTC

Though our healthcare is pretty bare bones atm with all the tax cuts

2020-03-12 17:09:37 UTC

Well appendecitis is life threatening, so that's understandable.

2020-03-12 17:10:13 UTC

Here unless you were in a life threatening incident you're going to be waiting 2 hours minimum

2020-03-12 17:10:15 UTC

The tax cuts haven't effected your healthcare

2020-03-12 17:10:28 UTC

Yes, provincially they certainly have

2020-03-12 17:10:59 UTC

<:Blondie:418556671393136651>

2020-03-12 17:11:15 UTC

I've literally see a person who accidentally sliced a finger off wait for an hour and a half

2020-03-12 17:11:29 UTC

In Norway I think I only waited maybe 45min for an x ray it was super quick but.. then again I live in a very small community and major cases get sent to the city

2020-03-12 17:11:42 UTC

I mean. Sometimes emergency gets crazy

2020-03-12 17:11:48 UTC

No problem in here either.

2020-03-12 17:11:51 UTC

But emergency should take priority

2020-03-12 17:12:11 UTC

As in. If you go in with a booboo

2020-03-12 17:12:13 UTC

Our healthcare system is pretty awful

2020-03-12 17:12:14 UTC

You gonna be waiting

2020-03-12 17:12:27 UTC

> Here unless you were in a life threatening incident you're going to be waiting 2 hours minimum
@insanelyvain
Yeah, I remember being taken to another part of the hospital *before* the ER when I broke my ankle. And then I had to wait until 2 AM to get a room.

2020-03-12 17:12:34 UTC

A fully cut off finger should probably get attention though to reattach etc.

2020-03-12 17:12:39 UTC

You're waiting in A&E for at least 4 hours before even being seen in triage
