Not sure if they have this law in USA but in Europe they have a law that they have to pay you back if they cancel/delay your flight for 3+ hours

Our airport is fully operational its wild
Still have direct flights to and from the usa too
any suspended flights at that point is on the airline to refund the customer
and won't be covered by your insurance

Yep pdx remains open and operational. But they also handle civil and military flight operations so I guess it makes sense
