Sounds like you are in a battle
I was the executor then
One thing, though, they had a trust and they named me as a trustee.
It now goes to an administrative trust which has a new FEIN number.
She hasn't filed the paperwork for that yet.
After POA, executor
In the meantime, I can still act as a co-trustee
In your case, executor.
In my case, trustee.
Gotcha
No executor for a trust.
No
The will states I'm personal rep, but it will still be trustee.
And my brother will be co-trustee
But I have authority to disburse and liquidate funds, etc.
Do you both have to sign everything
They worded it that way on purpose
No, for that exact reason
It would be a mess to have to get both signatures on everything.
He lives about 15-20 miles away
No doubt, brother and I had to close out her bank accounts
Technically, the money in the bank accounts is mine because I'm an owner.
But I wouldn't do that to my brother.
i'll split everything down the middle
I even split the cash in her drawer
One for you, one for me - LOL
I have a great aunt in a nursing home and she pays 6200 a month
Just turned 95
Good grief, nursing home care is expensive!!!
3 years ago my mom passed
Dad was 97, died in May;
Mom was 92, Died November 2
Wowweee
That's awesome
You have longevity in your family.
How old was your father?

My dad was young, 57
Oh, my goodness.
