My parents were married 72 years.
My dad was young, 57
Oh, my goodness.
Heart problem?
Yes and lung
Let's hope you take after Mom.
Please tell me you do not smoke.
They both had long living relatives but few didn't
Great grandmother was 92
Is your great aunt in pretty good health
That must have been hard on your mother for your father to have died so young.
She is but is dealing with dementia now
I think Mom missed Dad so much.
Dementia is such an evil illness
It was tough on my mother bc the suffering he went through and he was the man that took care of things, ya know
I understand that.
That's the way it was with their generation.
My great aunt never took even an aspirin
Dad took care of everything.
Mom didn't have anything to do with finances until Dad started slipping.
No, Mom, not THAT bill!
And she was so generous.
I'm sorry for what you're having to deal with at this time
She'd give to anyone who send a solicitation.
Yes that generation was awesome
Your aunt sounded like she was really healthy.
My grandma was never sick.
Said it was because she took a bath every day.
Like your father, she fell and then down she went
She died at 92 in a nursing home.
Had a stroke that sent her there.
oMG! Dad fell and that's what killed him.
He never recovered.
Got pneumonia and started getting confused, and just got worse, and worse, and worse.
Yep her too
Mom fell due to negligence of the facility.
Sent to rehab and never went hone
But she got pneumonia from chocking on a pill
Both of them went to rehab from the hospital and never went back to the apartment.
As far as I'm concerned, the rehab facility (same as their apartment) killed both of them.
