thank you for asking that question, I had fun researching those words.
Communication is hard at the best of times. When people get their back up due to prejudice (i.e. to pre-judge), it getsmore complicated.

Devotion | Definition of Devotion by Lexico

What does devotion mean? devotion is defined by the lexicographers at Oxford Dictionaries as Love, loyalty, or enthusiasm for a person, activity, or cause
as defined, were they devoted to the ministries of the saints? or were they addicted to the ministries of the saints?
I bow to the Oxford dictionary definition you present. I'm not going to mince words. Common acceptable usage might not be that strict.
if i am devoted to the ministries of the saints, does that mean i am devoted to Gods Word?
You can be devoted to ministering to the saints by hospitality. Doesn't the word say that true religion means not just saying the right words but giving, from the heart, those things you see your brother and sister are in need of, both physically and spiritually. Don't confuse the term 'saints' with some special group designated by some church as 'Saints'. The saints mentioned here are every member of the body of Christ.
um..
can you answer the question
OK, I guess I wandered a bit. It seems obvious to me that if you are devoted to the saints you must also be devoted to Gods word.
so if i am addicted to the ministries of the saints
that would incline that i have the ministry, and with out it, its real bad.
so essentially i see slight difference, but both have the same inference.
I think it's mostly a matter of perspective.
as an addict i will give anything to have it
therefore i am devoted to it
Kinda what I said earlier
ya but you guys didnt work it out hehe
No problem
