We let down the bars, we let down the bars. The sheep got out, but how did the goats get in? We let down the bars.

Why is it so hard for people to just follow what Jesus said? Why is it that folks will listen when some seminary trained preacher waters down the Word of God? "Well, you don't really have to do it that way. We have a more 'comfortable' way that we think is all right".

You can call me a legalist. It's all right. I've got my big boy pants on. Let's take a look, however, at what real legalism looks like. Look at what is happening today between the deep state and right thinking conservative politicians. There is a term; 'Lawfare' that describes the lefts use of the courts to slow down the course of true justice. It is the same tactic that was being employed in Jesus day by the Scribes, Pharisees and lawyers of the Jewish religion of the day. In order to draw people away from the basic truths of God's word, they built up traditions of men With those traditions they introduced false interpretations of 'what God really meant'. It's okay to cheat your brother as long as you offer the proper sacrifice at the Temple. Conversely Jesus chided them for being careful to wash their hands, pots and pans while leaving the weightier matters undone. Such as exercising true compassion for their neighbor. A point He emphasized with the parable of the good Samaritan. I think true legalism is finding ways to skirt the real law (the ten commandments) by adding layer upon layer of tradition and regulation.

Please pray for my cousin and husband. Their son, Drew (34 yrs old) was killed yesterday morning in a work related accident. They were digging a trench for a new build. He was married but no children...he was my cousin's only child!! 😢

We must take the whole council of God.

For every single thing is colder than a rising Son.

"What must I do to be saved" When Peter was asked that question he replied, "repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost". Now, as you and I have discussed, there are exceptions, as in the case of the thief on the cross. Even that, though, came before Peters pronouncement. Or for that matter before Jesus said it in Mathew 28:19. Jesus was risen from the dead and preparing to ascend into heaven when He said, "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name (singular) of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. I'll point out here that the titles Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are not His name. It is the Lord Jesus Christ.I can list several examples in the scriptures where this formula was followed. such as the Ethiopian eunuch, the Roman Centurion and his household, the jailer who would have killed himself when the angel let the disciples out of their shackles.

Now, I have to ask. Is that law or grace?

Pray & Fast, and recite the Lords Prayer, Jesus said it when asked. Pray for what you need, Fast to know what is enough and Give Thanks through the Prayer his Son told us. It is the Trinity.

The mystery of godliness. Did you know that the word Trinity is not found anywhere in scripture? The Godhead is mentioned in Acts 17;29 KJV, Romans 1:20 KJV and Colossians 2:9 KJV.
