2 Chronicles 20:21-22
[21]After consulting the people, the king appointed singers to walk ahead of the army, singing to the lord and praising him for his holy splendor. This is what they sang:
“Give thanks to the lord;
    his faithful love endures forever!”
[22]At the very moment they began to sing and give praise, the lord caused the armies of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir to start fighting among themselves.

In the days of the early church, two deadly epidemics hit the Roman Empire (165 AD and 251 AD). Afterwards the church was stronger. Christians had a higher survival rate because they cared for each other. Also, many people were so impressed by the way Christians cared for non-Christian victims that many turned to Jesus. (Rodney Stark, “The Rise of Christianity: A Sociologist Reconsiders History” [Princeton, 1996], Chap. 4)

@Cindy Jo Do you notice the difference between the version you quoted and the RSV. In verse 22, your version says that the enemy armies fought among themselves. In the RSV it says they were ambushed. The scripture says in another place, "If the trumpet makes an uncertain sound, who can prepare for the battle?" The trouble with so many versions is that it breeds confusion. Satan is the author of confusion.

Remember your first true love
When you gave your heart to Jesus
Pray with your heart . Ask for protection and guidance
What are the seven deadly sins ?
Repent for each sinful thought and deed
Empty your cup. Seek the truth
Ask the holy spirit interrupt as you read the word

@BilyDaKid Did you mean 'interpret' on that last line? Auto-correct is not our friend.

Prayer Request for my brother, Bob, who’s still in the hospital, with heart problems. They have his diabetes and blood pressure under control, but the upper chamber of his heart is miss-firing, only the bottom two chambers are working correctly. They have got his heart rate under 100. Once they get him stable they will run more test on his heart. Thank you for praying for Bob. God bless you! 🙏

Psalms 15:1-5
[1]Who may worship in your sanctuary, lord?
Who may enter your presence on your holy hill?
[2]Those who lead blameless lives and do what is right,
speaking the truth from sincere hearts.
[3]Those who refuse to gossip
    or harm their neighbors
or speak evil of their friends.
[4]Those who despise flagrant sinners,
and honor the faithful followers of the lord,
and keep their promises even when it hurts.
[5]Those who lend money without charging interest,
and who cannot be bribed to lie about the innocent.
Such people will stand firm forever.

My oldest daughter (living in the Seattle area) is moving over (three hundred miles) to use my spare bedroom. Her college is shut down and her apartment building is being condemned for mold. I'm glad she is getting off the coast but it's going to be a difficult adjustment for both of us.

Someone asked me today how I felt about local governments dictating our church meeting. I said, “ The church has never been confined to a building it is the movement of God through the people of God in the world that God is redeeming.
My heart however does break for the senior citizens who are now more isolated than ever, for the single parent who missing a paycheck will devastate their family, for all the high school athletes who seasons were cut short, and those who are grieving and suffering during this
