Nobody cares about our sacrafices

2019-02-20 19:07:17 UTC

Nobody gives a shit if we live or die

2019-02-20 19:07:58 UTC

I need to tell myself that so I don't go and be a hero if there was an active shooter or something

2019-02-20 19:08:29 UTC

It's not worth risking your life to save people who will never appreciate it

2019-02-20 19:10:29 UTC

There are people who do, but it's a really personal thing or a group thing. We celebrate soldiers in general, but only a few medal winners stand out for us.

2019-02-20 19:11:49 UTC

The only woman I would save would be my mom or my future SO

2019-02-20 19:11:56 UTC

The rest can fend for themselves

2019-02-20 23:38:08 UTC

.

2019-02-20 23:38:12 UTC

I agree

2019-02-21 01:09:59 UTC

Only person I would save is my daughter, she is my hope for the future, and I get pissed that modern feminism is fucking up the world for her ._.

2019-02-21 03:00:52 UTC

I could never have a daughter because nonmatter how good i raised her she would always end up with some scumbag who would use her as a sexual object and leave her.

2019-02-21 03:01:29 UTC

same with a son some woman would divorce rape his ass and lead to his suicide

2019-02-21 12:53:03 UTC

So no children at all?

2019-02-21 12:53:29 UTC

I think the odds of them ending up with someone nice are a lot higher than that!

2019-02-21 12:58:16 UTC

@Bobby_Hill it's not fair to blanket all of one sex for the actions of a few, to say it 'will' happen is simply wrong. That doesn't mean people shouldn't try to give their children the best start in life and teach them about the world or how to be happy, but that's a very bleak outlook to have.

2019-02-21 13:00:17 UTC

@InsaneCaterpilla I'm never having kids so I don't spread my disability ♿

2019-02-21 13:01:51 UTC

So my opinion shouldn't really matter

2019-02-21 13:02:07 UTC

That's fair enough as a personal choice, is it a high chance?

2019-02-21 13:02:32 UTC

It's like rolling a D20

2019-02-21 13:03:05 UTC

You might get a baby with mild autism or a baby who is borderline retarded

2019-02-21 13:03:26 UTC

Idk these days with proper care they can indentify some problems in the womb and prevent the continuation of pregnancy in the event of things

2019-02-21 13:03:33 UTC

I don't think they can for autism, though

2019-02-21 13:03:38 UTC

Nope

2019-02-21 13:03:51 UTC

That's just how it is

2019-02-21 13:04:43 UTC

The spectrum goes from full tard - to normal person and everything in between

2019-02-21 13:05:44 UTC

It also doesn't help that most girls with autism are very mild while boys tend to be more severe

2019-02-21 13:06:24 UTC

I wonder if routine infant circumcisions has anything to do with this disparity

2019-02-21 13:07:00 UTC

That's unlikely, but I wasn't aware of the disparity

2019-02-21 13:07:41 UTC

Infant circumcision causes the brain to undergo trauma

2019-02-21 13:08:00 UTC

Look it up

2019-02-21 13:08:35 UTC

It must not cause autism but worsen the already afflicted child

2019-02-21 13:10:28 UTC

I know it does

2019-02-21 13:12:16 UTC

But that having an effect on how autism is doesn't add up. You would need to show a comparison with countries that dont usually do it. Also, the US tends to overdiagnose and overmedicate its children.

2019-02-21 13:33:36 UTC

I am not at all comfortable with the idea that autistic children should be aborted on principal. It seems abhorrent.

2019-02-21 13:38:35 UTC

To me it does too, tbh, but parents should have that option in severe cases if it becomes identifiable, I think

2019-02-21 13:40:08 UTC

Parenthood should be based on knowledge of what you are signing up for whenever possible

2019-02-21 13:50:42 UTC

Ideally they should, but let's be really honest here - killing off all the serious autistics is what I call 'a polite genocide'. And it would not stop at the serious ones. Like Downs in certain countries, we would be all but wiped out.

2019-02-21 13:52:18 UTC

Can it really be considered a genocide when no one is killed?

2019-02-21 13:53:03 UTC

If we talk about selecting for race or sex, eye or hair colour I would agree, but these things aren't disorders

2019-02-21 13:55:12 UTC

And I doubt such a screening method would be advocated for mandatory screening and elimination. I'm sure we'll still be blessed with remarkable autistic people as we are today

2019-02-21 13:56:06 UTC

I'm struggling to think of a way to put this that won't start a huge argument.
