and the female lead is the worst Mary Sue to hit movies ever...

2019-03-11 06:49:38 UTC

shes an instant Jedi, a natural lightsaber fighter, force user, survivor, has psychic powers, can fix anything, is a great pilot, never is morally questioned

2019-03-11 06:49:49 UTC

and is somehow destined to save the universe by existing

2019-03-11 06:50:18 UTC

Captain Phasma was female

2019-03-11 06:50:43 UTC

yeah fair enough, I forgot about Silver Stormtrooper

2019-03-11 06:51:06 UTC

I just wanted so much more from Disney 😛

2019-03-11 06:51:26 UTC

I almost walked out of The Last Jedi

2019-03-11 06:51:37 UTC

it was the worst writing in a AAA movie I've ever seen

2019-03-11 06:52:39 UTC

Tbh I kinda knew the new ones would be kinda screwed when Disney took over

2019-03-11 06:53:14 UTC

I remember being shocked like wtf does Disney know about star wars

2019-03-11 06:53:34 UTC

sorry didn't mean to go off... the death of Star Wars is a very personal pain for me, I've been a Star Wars fan since I was in diapers

2019-03-11 06:55:15 UTC

I didn't like how the female Jedi picked up Jedi skills so quickly

2019-03-11 06:55:32 UTC

If a male.jedi did that I would feel the same way

2019-03-11 06:56:04 UTC

and she wasn't even trained, she just showed up and in a few days shes ready to save the universe

2019-03-11 06:56:19 UTC

Right

2019-03-11 06:59:12 UTC

I.was just reading up about the star wars thing here https://dailycaller.com/2018/05/29/sjw-politics-solo-star-wars/

2019-03-11 06:59:39 UTC

Apparently JJ Abraham's took to social media attacking the fans or something

2019-03-11 07:01:54 UTC

The article makes a good point though. These sjws they are trying to appease don't spend money

2019-03-11 07:04:38 UTC

the best way to measure the fan reaction and the 'health' of the star wars franchise... is the merchandise

2019-03-11 07:04:44 UTC

Look I don't mind switching it up and having a female lead

2019-03-11 07:05:00 UTC

and Disney has lost almost a billion dollars on merchandise

2019-03-11 07:05:09 UTC

it just doesn't sell, at all, to anyone

2019-03-11 07:05:13 UTC

But don't do it to make statements

2019-03-11 07:06:40 UTC

I don't get the nike thing

2019-03-11 07:07:14 UTC

Wasn't that about a football player who refused to say the pledge of allegiance or something ?

2019-03-11 07:10:54 UTC

I don't recall the specifics

2019-03-11 07:27:42 UTC

This guys has some pretty good ideas about why Kennedy is still there https://youtu.be/M11h_7pJgGM

2019-03-11 07:30:08 UTC

A lot of what he said makes sense. Of course I don't know enough about what's going on to be sure.

2019-03-11 07:32:05 UTC

Apparently there is some sexist saying that she adopted "the force is female" or something.

2019-03-12 11:12:46 UTC

Apparently the guy who plays Luke is a massive SJW too. I heard he defended the way they wrecked his character. It's bizzare. The film was barely passable and it gets worse the more you examine it. Meanwhile Rouge One had a female lead and was pretty good. I don't understand this mentality - it's like something of /r/entitledparents

2019-03-12 11:17:20 UTC

Damn. The fallout from International Women's Day is always entertaining, lol.

2019-03-12 11:18:30 UTC

Mark Hamill?

2019-03-12 11:18:56 UTC

that rumor has some wires crossed because Mark Hamill is amazing, he absolutely hated what they were doing with the plot and said it as much as possible

2019-03-12 11:19:12 UTC

Really?

2019-03-12 11:19:21 UTC

he was contractually obligated to not speak straight negatives about the movie

2019-03-12 11:19:27 UTC

but oh my gawd did he get his message out 😛

2019-03-12 11:19:32 UTC

he HATED how they wrote the movies

2019-03-12 11:19:33 UTC

Oh, I see

2019-03-12 11:19:57 UTC

I saw some tweets of his that looked almost troll-level feminist....

2019-03-12 11:20:22 UTC

he spoke about how they ignored EVERY piece of advice they gave them, 'they' being the older actors from the original movies, and 'them' being the executives specifically Kathleen Kennedy
