Good lighting, like 3 point
lightings always the bitch, finding the right angle, playing wit hthe blinds and lights etc. i know this from film sets but its still really hard
and i dont have the equipment they have, easy when you have 10000 dollar lights
Cheap 50-150 dollar lights are all that's necessary for youtube
Aputure makes good ones
And I won't recommend using Webcam for youtube.. Never
Quasar science also makes good lights
hello @IsmELlyOuJoHN
Hello
3 big happens for the MRM this year, the APA guideline, the gillette commercial, and that study about male privilege. lots of peoplg talking about it
Yeah man that stupid advert haha
now is the time we can maybe start being a little bit more open in our public lives, friends and family...maybe dont come out as an MRA, but say "you know, it is true that there seems a lot of weird anti male attitudes right now"
Yeah I've recently started discussing with a friend who is a feminist about my beliefs of difficulty of men, I've had lots of help from realsexism.com which although having some "sexist" parts as my friend described, is full of amazing links
Makes me sad to be a man tho haha
a lot of people are noticing this, the mens rights movement is bigger than ever before
The problem is, like feminism, it can absorb many toxic people who are *actually* sexist. This is why I don't identify myself as an MRA because of the minority that shows itself to be a sexist but instead an egalitarian
all in all im very impressed with the overall quality of the movement though, any large number of people will have bad examples. groups like this are really trying to take us in a positive direction, and keep sexism away. the MRM definitely has to combat and reject sexism coming from anywhere, even internally
Yes, sadly from its beginning it has a stigma of sexism for daring to stand up against male sexism
only because misconceptions and misunderstandings. people think the MRM is the same as incels, etc, but we are the opposite.
Yes I completely agree that the core of the movement was people that have realised that our society is fair towards women, maybe even not so towards men
and its not even that we think misogyny doesnt exist, there are definitely valid womens issues. we just want to look at male issues for what they are, and talk about privilege as it actually is
by data and stats
Yes, I think that when out of the western world women face many problems that I couldn't dream of
As do men.
Men face harsh problems in these places, but not as much as women
@IsmELlyOuJoHN Hi!
So how is the video thing going so far @blueorange22
I mean, how are you finding the filming itself?
i need to upgrade everything, i can start with what i have no but eventually i need a professional setup
Hmm
I'd make sure you have a good mic
It's way more critical than you'd think - but you can get a pro one quite cheap
i figure now is like a soft opening, build some traction, then a more "official" launch
good mic and good everything really, set up a studio, make sure its done right
Sure, sounds good
And if you've got pets don't forget to evict them from the room, lol
nope, no roomates, no pets!
Video?
im starting a youtube channel for MR
