We thank everyone for their patience. We know there are rumours circulating about why MC had to be re-made.

Over the past little while, it came to our attention that certain individuals on the staff team were working with outside forces to seize full control of the server. Multiple pathways were taken to address the issues, but none were effective.

It got to the point where staff decisions were being made by members who were not in Muslim.Chat, and the people who built the server from the ground-up were purposely being ignored.

This led to safety concerns. It came to our attention that messages from the private staff chats were being leaked to outside forces to push certain narratives. We began to worry about the members as it was clear privacy was not being respected.

It unfortunately got to the point that political views were being repressed. People who spoke about scholars being jailed and other injustices such as the war in Yemen were rebuked, warned and even banned. It seemed the previous owner was completely inactive unless his country was discussed. People who supported his country got special favours and were promoted.

Those who held opposing views from the owner were going to be purged from the staff team; some of the same people who helped this server thrive. There was a coup planned in this server, but they were just trying to figure out how they could get rid of all of us without losing all our members, this led to them painting us as extremists, evil, wicked and other labels.

Essentially, a power change was coming to MC, we just acted before the other side.
