2019-03-13 22:32:18 UTC

Interesting read

2019-03-13 22:32:21 UTC

Same

2019-03-13 22:33:06 UTC

Friedrich of Prussia apparently wrote a rebuttal to that
So that's something to keep in mind

I think that Dagestan is a good example of diversity.

2019-03-14 09:12:05 UTC

Russia in general is quite diverse.

2019-03-14 09:16:18 UTC

it is
but there are definitely defined areas
the Autonomous Republic of Chechnya is Chechen ethno-culturally
just to name an example
Russia seems to in essence ethno-pluralism
https://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethnopluralism

>Ethnopluralism ...far right and neo-fascist model

2019-03-14 09:21:29 UTC

what the heck is this trash Wikipedia, I'm sure people other than fascists would agree with ethno-pluralism.

2019-03-14 09:24:25 UTC

Although it would be pretty difficult to organize that in a new country without discriminating based on ethnicity and pales of settlement. We are lucky in a sense because we already went through all that in the past.

2019-03-14 09:27:37 UTC

it's Wikipedia
so i imagine it's those of a Progressive persuasion that write these articles

2019-03-14 09:30:49 UTC

I mean, the part with "ethnic cleansing" or "no jews and girls allowed" is gay, but it was written by a frenchie so that's to be expected.

2019-03-14 09:34:53 UTC

true i suppose

2019-03-14 22:07:29 UTC

>Kalymika?

2019-03-14 23:54:59 UTC

What about that Turco-Momgolic group near the Caspain sea?

2019-03-15 09:14:45 UTC

Nogais?

2019-03-15 09:32:03 UTC

kalmyks aren't turkic

2019-03-15 09:33:59 UTC

they are mongol, or oirat. a mongol-like group I did a huge project about that people group and the republic in general

2019-03-15 10:51:38 UTC

I mean they have a similar culture
Hence Turco-Mongolic is a phrase used to express that culture
