2018-12-12 22:52:30 UTC

2018-12-12 22:52:33 UTC

^ anti european

2018-12-12 22:52:38 UTC

sure anglo state

2018-12-12 22:52:42 UTC

I have seen many LARPers say that America was a racialist white state with no evidence or substance to this claim.

2018-12-12 22:52:50 UTC

yeah i don't believe it

2018-12-12 22:53:01 UTC

it wasn't, it was very anarchic at the start

2018-12-12 22:53:10 UTC

? was it?

2018-12-12 22:53:13 UTC

There were laws on the books that non whites couldn't immigarte

2018-12-12 22:53:31 UTC

I don't know when these laws got put on the books exactly

2018-12-12 22:53:31 UTC

what do you mean by anarchic?

2018-12-12 22:53:40 UTC

The long-term plan was for blacks to become eventual citizens by being born into American citizenship (freedom of womb), they had to make the necessary concessions to the southern planters. With this in mind, how can you reconcile the 1790 Naturalization law?

2018-12-12 22:53:40 UTC

There won't be a white ethno/racial state. That's the point. Unless the country splits its land with the other races.

2018-12-12 22:53:52 UTC

It's just bad history and it's dumb. As cool as it would be it's FAKE news.

2018-12-12 22:53:56 UTC

as in anarchy was prevalent

2018-12-12 22:54:12 UTC

it wasn't called "the wild west" for no reason

2018-12-12 22:54:14 UTC

The founding fathers were racist for sure but not pro-slavery and wanted to extend citizenship to all Americans living in America at that time eventually.

2018-12-12 22:54:16 UTC

OHHH

2018-12-12 22:54:17 UTC

The first statute in the United States to codify naturalization law. Alternately known as the Nationality Act, the Naturalization Act of 1790 restricted citizenship to "any alien, being a free white person." @εïз irma εïз

2018-12-12 22:54:21 UTC

you're talking about that era

2018-12-12 22:54:24 UTC

okay ye

2018-12-12 22:54:24 UTC

I already addressed this loser.

2018-12-12 22:54:32 UTC

Because this is like the only thing people ever have to substantiate the claim.

2018-12-12 22:54:35 UTC

the moment first settlers arrived really

2018-12-12 22:54:37 UTC

It ignores the historical context completely.

2018-12-12 22:54:38 UTC

isn't the wild west the reason libertarianism is so romanticised in america?

2018-12-12 22:54:39 UTC

Sorry

2018-12-12 22:54:57 UTC

The White settlers had some pretty negative views of Natives

2018-12-12 22:55:03 UTC

It would be like saying that the 3/5ths compromise meant the Founding Fathers were pro-slavery.

2018-12-12 22:55:08 UTC

@Gas the Zoomers for a reason

2018-12-12 22:55:14 UTC

I guess you could say that was just the friction that occured and it wasn't racial persay

2018-12-12 22:55:17 UTC

There is myriad textual evidence in the Federalist Papers and Articles of Confederation to the contrary.

2018-12-12 22:55:19 UTC

the natives were savages tho

2018-12-12 22:56:03 UTC

Very little Yes and mostly no

2018-12-12 22:56:03 UTC

Look at my pfp

2018-12-12 22:56:09 UTC

had no concept of state, murdered each other. tribal warfare all over the place, it was chaos and no place to set up a settlement out of fear for your own life

2018-12-12 22:56:13 UTC

The craziest thing I've heard about Natives is how they tortured. They would tie you down and cut off finger by finger, using heat to instantly cauterize the wounds

2018-12-12 22:56:18 UTC

and would work there way up slowly

2018-12-12 22:56:20 UTC
