Communism with a human face could have been done under him with enough time.

@Xinyue thoughts on the Prague Uprising and Hungarian Revolution in '56 🤔

2018-12-19 17:39:55 UTC

@Leon Trotsky Lenin was good, yes, laid the solid foundation of the USSR. Stalin I personally dislike, real talk for a moment, and his administration did lots of mistakes, but on the other hand if Stalin didn't exist I'm not sure how 1941 would've ended up like

2018-12-19 17:40:07 UTC

Prague was in 68

2018-12-19 17:40:10 UTC

I know

2018-12-19 17:40:24 UTC

well, I believe Trotsky couldve done many of the things stalin did

Baste

2018-12-19 17:41:01 UTC

Trotsky would've been hated by pretty much every non communist nation

2018-12-19 17:41:05 UTC

UK-Germany axis when

2018-12-19 17:41:15 UTC

He was hated by every non communist nation

2018-12-19 17:41:32 UTC

Exactly

2018-12-19 17:41:36 UTC

Trot was gay and was rightly killed

2018-12-19 17:41:44 UTC

the problem with Trotsky is that I think he might've - with best of intentions - gone around spending most of 1920s and 1930s invading smaller countries in the periphery of the USSR, across central asia, eastern europe etc. and might've actually ignored some aspects of the necessary cultivation of the productive forces

2018-12-19 17:41:58 UTC

and then,

2018-12-19 17:42:00 UTC

when the war does come,

2018-12-19 17:42:10 UTC

the 1941 might've ended differently

2018-12-19 17:42:14 UTC

its a lot of "what ifs" yes

2018-12-19 17:42:17 UTC

I can't know for sure

2018-12-19 17:42:24 UTC

Well, cultivation of the productive forces would be the same as it was under stalin

2018-12-19 17:42:30 UTC

trotsky also supported five year plans

2018-12-19 17:42:35 UTC

Male in the Chateau of high altitude irl when

2018-12-19 17:42:51 UTC

hmmm

2018-12-19 17:43:28 UTC

I think that if Trotsky managed to be more or less the same as Stalin, but just without the absolute breakdown of human life that happened in the 1930s, that would make him superior yes

2018-12-19 17:43:36 UTC

but I'm not convinced he'd been like this

2018-12-19 17:45:01 UTC

he seemed to be very hell bent on expanding the realm of the union

2018-12-19 17:45:06 UTC

permanent revolution and all

2018-12-19 17:45:08 UTC

so eh

2018-12-19 17:45:13 UTC

I'll pass on that theory for now

2018-12-19 17:45:40 UTC

Oof
