I wrote last night that the U.S either needs to federalize completely into commonwealths or balkanize into new countries. I love my country but, I believe that taboo belief is "anti American."

Because everyone hates each-other and is divided and our current system of governing sucks dick. It reminds me of Yugo or any country without a dominant belief, religion, or ethnic group.

Guy tried to argue the ACA was doable because Chinese people have healthcare when I said the U.S has too many people for healthcare, got really pissed last night when I wrote "Ah yes, the millions in poverty who cannot use said healthcare, etc."

Or, y'know, go back to independant states in a union with a marginal federal government that exists only to enforce the rules the states agree upon, run the Navy, and manage the printing and dispensing of money.

I don't think balkanization would really work well currently because we'd still have the same issues politically in those regions with the major cities leaning hard left until they collapse under the crushing weight of the welfare state
