2018-12-01 22:32:55 UTC

Whatever floats your boat Ukraine

2018-12-01 22:33:16 UTC

I'm sure that'd stop armies forming to annex your country

2018-12-02 01:47:44 UTC

Russia took all of Ukraine's boats

2018-12-02 01:47:55 UTC

Orwell is probably turning over in his grave right now

2018-12-02 05:30:30 UTC

2018-12-02 05:41:45 UTC

2018-12-02 05:42:09 UTC

>muh suppressing human's rights by not letting them across border

2018-12-02 05:53:53 UTC

Suppress them with tear gas

2018-12-02 19:06:14 UTC

Nah

2018-12-02 19:06:26 UTC

suppress them with naval gun fire as they try to cross

2018-12-02 19:09:12 UTC

Edgy.

2018-12-02 19:17:34 UTC

The Royal Navy's role was to prevent foreign elements from landing upon Britain's shores, right?

2018-12-02 19:17:36 UTC

Well....

2018-12-02 19:34:24 UTC

lmao don't try to argue anything with Runes.

2018-12-02 19:34:53 UTC

Even something as cut and dry as "The RN was meant to defend British shores and foreign interests while acting as an extension of the will of the crown"

2018-12-02 19:35:43 UTC

While it would be well within the rights of a nation to fire on people attempting to forcibly and illegaly cross their borders.

2018-12-02 19:36:06 UTC

I have questions about that first bit

2018-12-02 19:36:14 UTC

That's 1984 as fuck

2018-12-02 19:36:18 UTC

I want a citation

2018-12-02 19:37:52 UTC

It'd be aesthetic as fuck if the HMS Dreadnought was still afloat, and they could roll her out to patrol the English Channel against migrant botes.

2018-12-02 19:38:11 UTC

Her armament is perfectly suited to taking out large numbers of small targets

2018-12-02 19:38:44 UTC

Or rather, her armament *was* suited.

2018-12-02 19:40:26 UTC

Is that a viable reason to build battleships? I think YES

2018-12-02 19:42:21 UTC

Dreadnoughts, actually.

2018-12-02 19:42:52 UTC

There's 3 general classifications of gunnery capital ships

2018-12-02 19:44:09 UTC

Pre-dreads, which were... honestly terrible. Dreadnoughts, which introduced superfiring turrets while maintaining the immense secondary battery of the pre-dread era. And finally Battleships, which were designed to forgo secondary battery firepower in exchange for larger main battery guns and high speeds.

2018-12-02 19:45:46 UTC

@RoflTank who is arguing with me?

2018-12-02 19:45:59 UTC

I dunno

2018-12-02 19:46:08 UTC

Pretty sure you’re just trying to stir shit

2018-12-02 19:46:19 UTC

I don't have a spoon buddy

2018-12-02 19:46:23 UTC

Also German battleships reject your ideas
