Well I'm debating if I want to do c++ or html or combining them
I just need examples to attach to my resume
well those are two majorly different languages that do different things.
Oh yeah totally
if youre trying to say you know a language, then go for c++
html, while turing complete, is mainly used for just webpages
But do I want to make a window application in c++ or use css html javascript to do basically the same thing
I've done hiring for coding positions in the past. Are you attaching code examples to your resume because you have no experience? Because if you have experience I'd recommend not doing that.
he quit in the middle of getting his cs degree many years ago
so prob no experience
dick around with c++ or go, or java, c# etc, something a bit more application based than web dev stuff
or kotlin
js, css, and html is really only if you plan on web dev stuff
Yeah it can be challenging to get in with no experience and no degree. I'd suggest focusing on smaller places, and if you're willing to, try applying within. Get a shit job like in the call center and then try to demonstrate your stuff.
You could also try contributing to open source projects. If you have a robust github account and you can brag about that (and the people looking at it can go peek at your account and see what push requests you've done) then that'd be a huge.
Like, I'd hire somebody who puts that kind of effort in before I'd hire a graduate.
I say this, but I don't have a big github presence myself :p
