a bit on tests and temptations...if you are serving The Lord, you are a target of the dark side. so, just this for now:

...very first teaching in the very first book of the New Testament is a demonstration by Jesus on how to defeat the devil...

The Temptation of Jesus

4 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 And after fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. 3 And the tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread.” 4 But he answered, it is written,

˜Man shall not live by bread alone,
but by every word that comes from the mouth of God“

5 Then the devil took him to the holy city and set him on the pinnacle of the temple 6 and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written,

“He will command his angels concerning you,™

and

“On their hands they will bear you up,
lest you strike your foot against a stone.”

7 Jesus said to him, “Again it is written, ˜You shall not put the Lord your God to the test. 8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 And he said to him, “All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me.” 10 Then Jesus said to him, “Be gone, Satan! For it is written,

“You shall worship the Lord your God
and him only shall you serve.”

11 Then the devil left him, and behold, angels came and were ministering to him.

"Don't fool yourself that you are smarter than the deceptive
capacity of evil--you're not. The first thing that'll save you is humility--you are not smarter. These entities have been at it forever. They can sense the slightest weakness in your psyche and know just how to pull that out. They'll have you licking their boots, thinking you're serving God.

Alright, I don't want to build them up to be greater than what they are, but they are extremely clever--extremely clever.

If the devil, who was the Angel of Light (def of Lucifer) was able to drag down angels to this place with him from HEAVEN, imagine what he can do here. That's all I'm saying.

Prayer is your only true defense in this spiritual bad. Good and evil. Raging on.

But you, when you pray, enter into your inner chamber, and lock your door, and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret he himself shall reward you openly. And when you pray, do not repeat your words like the pagans, for they think that because of much talking they will be heard. Therefore, do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need, before you ask him.

Holy Lord, cover us with your protection, shield us from those that would harm us. Open our eyes that we can see you clearly, and guide us to follow your path all the days of our life. Jesus, draw all to you through your mercy and grace, let us see the truth of your Word. Holy Spirit give us wisdom and discernment. Help us to see your light in the darkness and never waver in our faith in you.

We ask for your protection and truth to shine forth on this site, that any anger or unforgiveness be removed. Fill us to overflowing with your love, your peace, your wisdom so that all who see us see only you. Shine your light and your presence on all who gather so that there is no room for darkness, only the light of your presence. For you are Holy , you are Lord, you are Majesty, Redeemer and Grace. You alone are Lord. We praise you and thank you for our blessings and the gift of your presence. In Jesus name.

"Those who serve the Lord are served by the Lord. Those who serve the Lord, are served by the Lord. Those who call upon Jesus as their Savior, Jesus becomes their advocate before The Father.

Yes! Let your truth be our song, let your Word fill our mouths, Let your light shine the path for all to follow. Let your love fill our hearts so that all are drawn to you, and receive Jesus redeeming grace for all eternity. For you are Holy, you are Light, You are Lord forever !

Selah (King James for pause and think about it) Two of the most important figures in the scriptures were King David and the apostle Paul, David said, this one thing I desire is to dwell in the house of the Lord forever and Paul's heart desire was "that I may know him"... Father we pray for those precious thoughts to dwell and abide in us each and every moment until the redemption of the purchased possession.

We give thanks to Thee, O Lord, for our existence and for our group and for being with each other.

Bring us together in your strength. When we are weak, You are strong. Let the joy of the Lord be our strength.
