I've actually noticed him respond to three different serious questions I was pondering with family, within like two days

I believe fully the Old Testament. The words of God within it. I have studied the literal words intently and believe the literal words makes Christianity impossible. But that is just me. I was a Christian for 62 years and love all Christians. It is a good way to live. It is a way to come to know God. Just not the best way as I see it.

2018-02-23 19:42:10 UTC

How exactly did you translate the words to experience?

2018-02-23 19:42:29 UTC

Cause that's the most backwards understanding I've ever heard of the bible

2018-02-23 19:42:56 UTC

The New Testament simplifies the Old Testament.

2018-02-23 19:43:20 UTC

Instead of 10 commandments, it's now 1

2018-02-23 19:43:38 UTC

I suggest this video from RSE. It might explain a bit why the earth is now said to be egg shaped. Asteroth and and the egg of fertility. I think he has some of the symbols off a bit I see the vatican as the shape of a dragon however his depiction of the sword and egg I agree with though seems to me he missed part of it. I see it as a sword in a hilt. The Golden Calf is Molock most likely. This is part of my problem with Christianity. I do not see how you can separate Rome from it.

Christianity is not about division.

2018-02-23 19:46:09 UTC

So there's no need to "separate Rome" from it

The NRA has been around longer than any of those companies - and will be here after they're gone

2018-02-23 19:47:15 UTC

Did you want me to watch that video as if it's going to validate your argument?

2018-02-23 19:50:57 UTC

I go to the Hebrew with Strong;s, Thayer, and AHLB. I also have learned a lot about Hebrew from Nehemiah Gordon he has audio and some video. Keith Johnson as well was helpful in helping me understand the need to go to the Hebrew for real understanding. I find the NIV far closer to the Hebrew than other translations though I use 25 or so on occasion. I like The Scriptures for the Hebrew names as the NIV does not do that rather uses the invalid transliterations. Transliteration is totally invalid for important people.

Hey guys. Just wanted to say I appreciate each and every one of you. Keep fighting the good fight.

I studied the Church Fathers to understand how the New Testament came about. What the thinking was of the men who had access to the text of the New Testament before it was finalized in what we now have. Though there are drastic differences in the Greek documents of the New Testament. Most are not important but many are important.

2018-02-23 19:52:35 UTC

Those who deny me I will deny before the Father. Better safe than sorry for this one. Either Jesus handled a bill we couldn't even collectively pay, or fuck all of it as uselessness. He spoke clearly about the dangers of this world. I'm not a Jew. I'm only remotely interested in certain aspects of the OT at all. Throughout the OT is the message of the coming Messiah. That's the only use I have for it at all. Even the name "Christian" has been hocked and viciously usurped. I'm a direct disciple of Christ, who IS the meaning and significance of my life. Thanks for listening. lol

2018-02-23 19:52:36 UTC

So what's your beef against the New Testament and your bind on The Roman Empire being a valid story of Christianity?

2018-02-23 19:53:21 UTC

I suppose more than anything else it was the threats Christians love to use against those they perceive to not be following exactly their version of Christianity.

2018-02-23 19:53:44 UTC

What does that have to do with the New Testament?

2018-02-23 19:54:01 UTC

That has more to do with a lost following.

2018-02-23 19:54:55 UTC

exactly. Jesus is not the equivalent of the copious and often dubious interpretations of His teachings, which even by human standards are impeccable and utterly unimpeachable.

2018-02-23 19:55:23 UTC

Note you say it is the message of Messiah, Jesus. Yet you do not quote a single verse saying this. I find this constantly Christians say the Old Testament supports yet can not quote anything from it supporting it. Or they might know Isaiah 52-53. Most not that it starts in 52. They ignore all the parts that do not fit but prophecy either all fits or you are not using it properly.

2018-02-23 19:55:34 UTC

when understood. that's the trick. takes eons or something. who knows. if you're only as old as you feel, i should be dirt by now.

2018-02-23 19:55:39 UTC

😂

2018-02-23 19:56:21 UTC

and He STILL isn't finished straightening me out.

2018-02-23 19:56:22 UTC

Remember Jesus said, "you search the scriptures daily, for in them you think you have life."

2018-02-23 19:56:23 UTC

hahaha

2018-02-23 19:56:51 UTC

It's not about being able to memorize and quote the scripture. It's about living in the word.

2018-02-23 19:57:02 UTC

Indeed in them I have life.
