I live in the middle of the desert. There has been a lot of target practice going on here. They are blowing up tannrite in the desert miles away and it shakes our houses like crazy. You can here all the dogs in the neighborhood barking like crazy.

we have had a lot of military practicing. Just had an F-16 do a hard landing at our small little airport where the pilot had to eject himself.

No one has an official answer... at least not that I've read anywhere. But I believe the initial thought was something wrong with the engine.
