Hello @Black D Chase! How are you doing?
I am good, what about you.
What brings you here?
I was in Reddit's MRA, then that twitter post.. which led me here...
I enjoyed a great childhood except certain experiences, but i am mostly over it.
Oh? Did you have a particular experience that made you interested in men's rights? @Black D Chase
Don't want to share.
Ah, okay. That's totally fine.
Are there any big issues you do feel comfortable talking about, @Black D Chase?
Well, nothing big which i can share.
I am more like terrified of what can possibly go wrong.
When i was a kid (10-12) i was accused of things i don't even knew. I understood, when i was more like 15-16.
I fear false accusation.
Oh, okay. I won't press you on it I promise, @Black D Chase. I know a lot of this stuff can hit really close to home. I think a lot of us have that same fear, believe me.
It's cool, i know.
I am cool just past it.
No worries. I didn't mean to not change the subject there. Lol.
Can I ask if there anything you really like talking about?
Hello! I am human! I joined because I am interested in men's rights. To date, I have read both The Second Sexism (one of my favourite books) and The Manipulated Man (both of which were "borrowed" and gotten rid of by one of my ex-partners, so I am looking to re-buy them), as well as having owned (but not read) "Does Feminism Discriminate Against Men?".
As for my initial movement towards MRA, I can't point to a defining moment, but (weirdly) being a graduate of a Sociology degree (of which I found most of the viewpoints advocated to be at least disputable, but were pushed upon students by lecturers who didn't make a good case for justifying their positions, whereupon getting a good grade involved parroting the views of the lecturer) arguably made me more open-minded towards opposing positions to what I was taught, including an MRA position.
Hello @Christopher what brings you in?
Hi. Radical materialist feminist, well versed in second-wave feminist theory. Very interested in critical theories of late-capitalism, gender abolitionism, radical leftism, and antifascism/combatting antisemitism in all of its forms (left and right).
I really only joined because the description made me choke. But on the off chance someone isn't afraid of education and theory, we might have a chat.
hmm... anybody here up for some T H E O RY and EDUCACIONE
