Sort of...but not really. We get lumped in with the deep south when it suites certain political agendas. But we kinda consider texas its own thing.

Its strange in a way...texas country music is diff from other places and our bbq style isnt considered the same as the deep south. Little things like that.

Thats in a way how texas is diff from say the deep south. Most here get along well with Mexican people as most embrace american culture. Kinda different say then places like LA. Its not uncommon to see some mexican rednecks hunting and fishing if thats ur kind of thing.
