I can't sometimes
is it similiar to Ebonics?
You know, sometimes even quebecois film have subtitles for french people.
with their own slang and shit?
there's an hilarious military french manual from the colonial area for Senegalese tiralleurs, can't remember it's name
it's basically pigdin in french
Yeah. My mom also has some trouble understand Quebecois
ya'bon banania et merde
No, niggs in france are understndable, but african french speaker is hard as hell
I meant African French
as in the French spoken in African countries
I don't meet a lot of them
But it's pretty hard most of the time
I'd blame part of the reason why African French is almost inintelligeable is because we taught them this

Kek
so... the best colonial empire to you all is...?
I think I will start a poll to see what's the held opinions of the entire set of Discord servers I'm in, but as far as me, it's the Portuguese Empire
a sense of adventure and trade, not blood being spilled, despite the abandonment that the Portuguese left over to their cohorts
New France. I miss you.
the Mongol Empire
@Deleted User that isn't a colonial empire
just because it extended across Europe and Asia won't make it a colonial empire
Mongol tribes settled all over Eurasia from the steppe of Rus, the rivers of Mesopotamia, and the Northern basin of China. If that isn't colonisation, then nothing is colonisation.
so by that logic
Every empire is a colonial empire in the strictest sense
are the Germanic tribes collectively a colonial empire...?
cause I don't perceive them as such
being myself a great fan of the Goths historically more and more
and I dispute that notion
trade empires
they have existed... also militaristic empires
they weren't a cohesive polity, but yes, the Franks colonised Gaul, the Wisigoth colonised Iberia, the Lombard colonised Italy.
the British were a colonial empire, while Germans had a militaristic, dictatorial empire
when you say the word colony
dictatorial? the third reich?
and Goths are described as such
I don't think the Goths even gave a shit about colonialism
that wasn't their idea back then
they wanted a liberation from Roman gladiatorial persecutions and purges, ended up in a coalitin
coalitions aren't colonies
