come on down to lovely FL, @Bleezer , mostly conservative, no income tax, no snowstorms, and plenty of cheap real estate
I moved from FL to NY because of my hubby
Dumb move
welp. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
maybe retire here? it's the cool thing to do, donchaknow.
I told him when he retires from NYPD we are moving
Im moving to montana
when i go there this february im getting my nursing license valid there and looking at property
no sales tax at all on ANYTHING
I cant take the snow anymore
i cant take the heat i love snow
This is buffalo it was over 90 every day this summer im done with it
I recommend the burbs around Orlando. Unless you speak fluent Spanish it's the best place to be; Tampa's old and dirty and gets smashed by hurricans, Miami ditto plus even more corruption + illegals. By the time and storms get to Orlando they've lost a lot of power, we don't get excited for anything unless it's Category 3 or above
It was a hot summer but we had a long ass winter and not even spring here
I like st augusten
Montana has had their first snow alrdy 😂
Very, very nice. Very, very expensive.
I lived in Miami, went to college there and hated it
But the areas around St. Augustine proper aren't too bad.
Yea, its definitely different from south florida
SoFla = mini-Cuba
No ocean breeze
Thinking of NC outside of Charlotte as well
@Lyannawolf not a dumb move, it was the right move for your heart... but sure makes it harder for impact in elections if your against the river... well worth trying though, we dont get anywhere without giving our two cents in.

Facebook Inc. FB -0.40% will begin fact-checking photographs and videos posted on the social media platform, seeking to close a gap that allowed Russian propagandists to promote false news during the last U.S. presidential election.
The company said Thursday it will use technology and human reviewers to try to staunch what it called in a statement “misinformation in these new visual formats.” Previously, the company’s efforts had been focused on rooting out false articles and links. ...
Has anyone heard about numerous observatories being shut down?
Let us know. News blackouts ? Media and Deep State are in panic.
Q is being banned everywhere.
Are you prepared? If not, stock food and water.
If Brown releases murderers and criminals , over 140,000 in California, there could be mayhem everywhere.
@Lyannawolf Nice area. If I could pick up my family, friends, and church and plop it down in the middle of somewhere in the Smokies, I'd be happy as a clam. I sweat like if I keep doing it I'll win something, and Florida is awful - sweat doesn't evaporate due to humidity.
Does anyone know anything about the nuke plants that could be hit by Florence?
Infoweasel I live in the mountains of East tennessee and it gets hot here as well😁
@faith4nick - These talking heads- this storm proves mockingbird 100% - a bunch of hyper soap sellers freaking people out.
It's a news cycle steal designed to keep selling terror
Welllll, I'm not gonna get into a 'who's hotter' dick waving contest, everyone has their own tolerances. That being said 95ish degrees and 95 percent humidity for about 6 months out of the year is not great.
@Irshmun so basically it's all fake?
I literally had no idea houses were built without central AC in other parts of the country until I was in my 20's and someone mentioned window AC units which I had never heard of
