For a lot of people that would be for the better. Going down rabbit holes is fun but it does mean a lot of dead ends to deal with .. overtime that can destroy your believe system and you start thinking everything is fake or a plot or the work of AI.

we all make errors fall into rabbit holes with no end we all have been there but creating them (fake aliens bodies) and then scamming money to do DNA research on a fake you created is CRIMINAL.
More worrying was the fact that they tried to link credible researchers into this scam to make them look like idiots lucky some of them caught on early and distanced themselves from it or it could have ruined their credibility.
