@SirW00f https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=shdEOQZMLpc it's just a matter of time and skill

2019-03-12 09:16:37 UTC

no, it's not ...i've done stone work...thats not skill..thats precision engineering

2019-03-12 09:17:08 UTC

dude the romans and the greeks where doing it for centuries

2019-03-12 09:17:38 UTC

A true artist can do it

2019-03-12 09:17:52 UTC

find a true artist today that has done it

2019-03-12 09:18:22 UTC

thats a false argument

2019-03-12 09:18:34 UTC

the rope sculpture, not other artworks

2019-03-12 09:18:48 UTC

i know it's an amazing piece

2019-03-12 09:19:28 UTC

but now you are suggesting 3d print only applies to that one?

2019-03-12 09:20:02 UTC

no, i'm saying its possible we've been lied to about past advanced tech

2019-03-12 09:21:04 UTC

people can do amazing stuff

2019-03-12 09:21:53 UTC

i've done masonary work..i've done stone cutting and trying to sculpt stone to fit walls and foundations , i even hobbied a bit at art work...

2019-03-12 09:22:31 UTC

sure it's possible to make some sculptures..but not without making several errors along the way

2019-03-12 09:23:09 UTC

but the shear precision of most of those sculptures ..that precision engineering

2019-03-12 09:23:18 UTC

so until an artist attempts to copy an other artists most amazing piece just to proof it can be done seems a bit ..

2019-03-12 09:24:16 UTC

pete, ur missing the point...even art is engineering

2019-03-12 09:24:44 UTC

it's a skill you can learn

2019-03-12 09:24:46 UTC

from either a 3d printed point of view to a sculpted point of view

2019-03-12 09:26:02 UTC

look closer and you find imperfections you wouln't find on a 3d print

2019-03-12 09:26:17 UTC

handmade

2019-03-12 09:26:50 UTC

so where is the computer with the 3d cad file ?

2019-03-12 09:26:58 UTC

current level of 3d tech doesn't do granite white sand fusing

2019-03-12 09:27:09 UTC

what 3d program did they use to design it

2019-03-12 09:27:23 UTC

photoshop anno 1700

2019-03-12 09:27:38 UTC

pete, we'd have to look back a few hundred yrs to see if it's back there somewhere

2019-03-12 09:27:57 UTC

look you cant have a 3d print with out a file to print

2019-03-12 09:28:03 UTC

or a few thousand...we don't know how much history is buried and we're rediscovering

2019-03-12 09:28:30 UTC

the design has to come from somewhere

2019-03-12 09:28:38 UTC

well i know that

2019-03-12 09:28:44 UTC

so

2019-03-12 09:28:51 UTC

also the tech has to come from somewhere too

2019-03-12 09:29:28 UTC

yes so.. easy explanation is.. handmade amazing as it is.

2019-03-12 09:30:44 UTC

the ancient tech is using ur brain instead of relying on a machine

2019-03-12 09:39:27 UTC

here you can see the stages

2019-03-12 09:39:46 UTC

the artist is Simone Filosi

2019-03-12 09:40:02 UTC

all hand tools or some power tools like a dremel

2019-03-12 09:40:49 UTC

that only saves time.. hand drill or dremel.

2019-03-12 09:41:15 UTC

he can do it in a week back then it took 2 weeks

2019-03-12 09:41:27 UTC

something like that
