e-peen
a pissing contest or a debate?
A debate on who would win
A Crossbowman or a Mounted Swordsman
More like a shit earing contest
who is saying what
let's be real, armet is riding it the horse in a different way
If they were 20 ft apart
which would kill more niggers?
Sentient is saying the Swordsman would win
And Maine is saying the Crossbowman would win
A crossbowman (single) v knight (single) knight wins
oh wait you are talking about crossbows
Doesn't matter
well who cares watch it anyway
"To test a steel bodkin pointed arrow such as was used at the battle of Cressy, I borrowed a shirt of chain armour from the Museum, a beautiful specimen made in Damascus in the 15th Century. It weighed twenty-five pounds and was in perfect condition. One of the attendants in the Museum offered to put it on and allow me to shoot at him. Fortunately, I declined his proffered services and put it on a wooden box, padded with burlap to represent clothing. Indoors at a distance of seven yards, I discharged an arrow at it with such force that sparks flew from the links of steel as from a forge. The bodkin point and shaft went through the thickest portion of the back, penetrated an inch of wood and bulged out the opposite side of the armour shirt. The attendant turned a pale green. An arrow of this type can be shot about two hundred yards, and would be deadly up to the full limit of its flight."
shut the fuck up
faggot
just shoot the fucker
The knight would wear forged steel plate which was hardened by the procesess the metal underwent
One Mounted Knight.
This is the 14th Century. French Knight. Heavily Armored, Well Trained. Ect. I am establishing this right now.
One Crossbowman
This is the 14th Century. Probably Flemish or whatever. Decently Armored, Well Trained. Flanders is known for their mercenary companies and were used extensively, same with literally anything northern French or German.
This is open field, the Knight is 40ft away, and wields a lance. Crossbowman is standing his ground, and fires immediately. Either he's good or not, he misses. By the time he loads another bolt, the Knight is 15ft away, and the Crossbowman lands his mark no matter what. That Knight isn't a fuckin' drifter, the horse is killed, or not upon impact. What kills the horse is the ground. The knight flies off his horse, and is now either A: Unconscious. or B: Air is knocked out of him.
This will allow the Crossbowman to simply walk up, and kill the Knight with whatever he wants.
I'm playing this by your botched rules, Armet.
not to mention, knight armor could definitely be penetrated by an arrow, *especially* on horseback. when one thing is moving fast, that speed combined with the speed of the arrow increases penetration value
See we're not accounting to how he would react.
bodkin arrow was made to pierce armor
Most likely if an arrow struck him, he'd lose his balance.
