bonsoir /hi guys im gonna buy my first shotgun ( https://www.armurerie-lavaux.com/article/Fusil-a-pompe-MOSSBERG-Maverick-88-Tactical-cal.12-76-(canon-de-61cm).html )but i have some questions . the shotgun have a rifled barrel it is possible to shot buck shot and slug or only slug ? and if you have better model than this ?

2018-12-06 04:54:15 UTC

I’m not a shotgun expert, but I believe a rifles barrel is only meant for slugs.

2018-12-06 04:56:34 UTC

Correct

2018-12-06 04:56:50 UTC

Don’t buy a rifled barrel shotgun

2018-12-06 04:56:57 UTC

Ha ok i think im not gonna buy this and wait for my category b licence and buy a smooth barrel

2018-12-06 04:57:06 UTC

It’s useless for anything else

2018-12-06 04:57:43 UTC

but in category c in france you can only buy a riled shotgun yay another useless french law

2018-12-06 04:58:13 UTC

Very odd

2018-12-06 05:00:04 UTC

the smooth barell shotgun is in b category in france that mean you need to have the proper authorization and you gun is not your poperty it belong to the governement

2018-12-06 05:09:16 UTC

And if you get a rifled shotgun?

2018-12-06 05:10:32 UTC

its mine is in category c just have to register it and its ok

2018-12-06 05:11:36 UTC

Le gouvernement vont pense que vous est un gilet jaune avec des fusil

2018-12-06 05:11:43 UTC

*bon*

2018-12-06 05:12:12 UTC

^^ le gouvernement ne vas pas faire long feu

2018-12-06 05:12:53 UTC

I’d say go ahead and get it then. Rifled shotguns aren’t the worst.

2018-12-06 05:13:50 UTC

i think but the price of ammunation have a great gap between buckshot and slug

2018-12-06 05:14:45 UTC

How much different?

2018-12-06 05:15:41 UTC

2018-12-06 05:16:03 UTC

6.70 for 25 shell of buckshot

2018-12-06 05:16:29 UTC

and 8 for 10 shell of slug

2018-12-06 05:18:02 UTC

0.54 cent of differance on one shell

2018-12-06 05:19:27 UTC

Getting a rifled barrel shotgun to shoot anything other than slugs is a monumentally poor idea

2018-12-06 05:19:46 UTC

The rifling destroys your shot pattern for birdshot and buckshot

2018-12-06 05:20:04 UTC

On the other hand, smoothbore shotguns can shoot everything

2018-12-06 05:20:45 UTC

Consider his laws, however.

2018-12-06 05:20:47 UTC

I know because I’ve seen people try it in competition

2018-12-06 05:21:32 UTC

He’s cucked either way

2018-12-06 05:21:35 UTC

It’s France

2018-12-06 05:21:57 UTC

Those prices are about what they are here. Slugs are cheaper there than I’ve seen here.

2018-12-06 05:22:36 UTC

I usually pay between $0.90 and $1.25 each for slugs

2018-12-06 05:22:50 UTC

its shitty ammo on good ammo triple the price

2018-12-06 05:23:45 UTC

this ammunation is made by decathlon a french sport shop

2018-12-06 05:24:43 UTC

i just want to shot cheap on the range and buckshot is cheat

2018-12-06 05:24:52 UTC

cheap*

2018-12-06 05:25:12 UTC

I mean, if you wanna shoot cheap, get birdshot

2018-12-06 05:25:31 UTC

Here it’s less than $0.20 each

2018-12-06 05:25:59 UTC

But it’s gonna be a total mess out of a rifled barrel. More noise and smoke than actually hitting anything

2018-12-06 05:27:42 UTC

hum i dont thik is a great idea to get a rifled barrel if im gonna miss every shot
