Wasn't too bad, including changing the rollers it all only took a couple hours.

2019-03-09 23:33:14 UTC

it is a slight pita to install the cocking handle

2019-03-10 09:24:08 UTC

So who's done a galil arm build before?

2019-03-10 09:24:20 UTC

Also what about rpk or ak-74?

2019-03-10 18:41:48 UTC

they're all AKs

2019-03-10 18:42:00 UTC

galil is just a milled AK, so most of the work is done

2019-03-10 18:42:36 UTC

mostly just pressing stuff together at that point

2019-03-10 18:43:25 UTC

RPK-74 would be a cool build, since you can't get any

2019-03-10 18:43:30 UTC

expensive build though

2019-03-10 18:43:37 UTC

stock 74 would be the cheapest

2019-03-10 23:14:57 UTC

I have an rpk 47 kit and ak 74 parts kit. Will get an rpk 74 if one every pops up.

2019-03-10 23:15:14 UTC

Also I'm pretty sure the galil barrel is threaded into the receiver.

2019-03-10 23:16:33 UTC

@Sadmin is your galil threaded or pressed

2019-03-10 23:18:16 UTC

iunno

2019-03-10 23:20:51 UTC

Mine is threaded

2019-03-11 00:54:57 UTC

Looking at the tortort I see one comment about them being threaded but the photos on their site appear to be pressed receivers.

2019-03-11 02:29:57 UTC

yea not sure what's up with that

2019-03-11 02:31:53 UTC

call them and confirm

2019-03-11 02:42:46 UTC

the CNC warrior galil receivers definitely are threaded

2019-03-11 13:18:48 UTC

Yo, what's the best ghost gun build

2019-03-11 13:19:14 UTC

I've got plenty of Home Expedient Firearms pdfs on my phone, a few CADs and stuff as well. Any one got anything else?

2019-03-11 13:19:33 UTC

I like the idea of making horribl Mac-10 and Tec-9 looking gats in my shed

So called tortort and they have threaded barrel and will have receivers back in stock in a week or two.

2019-03-12 09:06:48 UTC

👍

2019-03-13 01:22:56 UTC

So does anyone know of someone who could help me build my aks and rpk in WA? I could use some guidance for the first build or at least guidance on what tools to buy.

2019-03-13 01:27:55 UTC

do you have a press?

2019-03-13 02:38:18 UTC

get those tools
