Oh boy everyone getting philosophical on me and I'm just thinking about how cool it would be to go innawoods as a centaur.
merium webster defines sentience as "responsive to or conscious of sense impressions "
But also H

Conscious is the key word there

idk in french we use conscience

Anyway, for sake of argument lets define sentience as being able to percieve, and sapience as being aware of that perception in a human like sense.
Can I debate the definition?
Sentience should be ability to percieve subjectively, while sapience is to be aware of that perception and use it to influence your further actions
Most animals could easily be argued as sentient. Some animals show evidence of being sapient. Centaurs are typically shown with a clear human like intelligence.
Feeling differed from perception; thus subjective
Sure, that's less of a debate and more of a refinement. It's more clear.
Why am I so good at derailing this chat?
