Even a sedentary horse will adopt behaviors that keep it moving. Like pacing or weaving

2018-09-02 04:09:11 UTC

just how do snakes poop anyway?

2018-09-02 04:09:16 UTC

@Ivan_M II Centaurs are sentient beings though, and even if its uncommon there has to be SOME that ignore their basic instincts.

2018-09-02 04:09:30 UTC

but horses are sentient..

2018-09-02 04:09:49 UTC

Fine then. But it would be a far lesser percentage than that of humans.

2018-09-02 04:09:54 UTC

@Yusako prove it

2018-09-02 04:10:03 UTC

proving animals are sentient is a very hard burden

2018-09-02 04:10:11 UTC

and one the scientific community has yet to take down

2018-09-02 04:10:15 UTC

@Yusako Real snakes have a cloaca, a shared anus/pussy. It's established that lamia have vaginas though, which implies they have a seperate anus.

2018-09-02 04:10:20 UTC

how do we prove humans are sentient even

2018-09-02 04:10:23 UTC

^

2018-09-02 04:10:28 UTC

[ok, i just read about this this morning in Scientific American..]

2018-09-02 04:10:33 UTC

Animals are sentient. What I meant was sapient.

2018-09-02 04:10:38 UTC

My bad.

2018-09-02 04:10:49 UTC

gray -prove it

2018-09-02 04:10:50 UTC

I can't say it for sure, but I imagine it'd be quite uncomfortable having that much movement oriented hardware and speed and not use it.

2018-09-02 04:11:08 UTC

either way even if animals were sentient, i still think its way okay to kill hem for food

2018-09-02 04:11:25 UTC

If I was a centaur I'd probably run for the fuck of it.

2018-09-02 04:11:25 UTC

yeah sure, no argument there i'd suppose ?

2018-09-02 04:11:28 UTC

Imagine it.

2018-09-02 04:11:37 UTC

Running at 45 mph

2018-09-02 04:11:45 UTC

@Ivan_M II "i can run at 40mph fuck yeah"

2018-09-02 04:11:48 UTC

It cant be "proven", but there is a lot of evidence to suggest that animals have complex emotions and some have complex social interactions and awareness of self as well.

2018-09-02 04:11:53 UTC

Exactly

2018-09-02 04:11:53 UTC

walk at 40mph*

2018-09-02 04:12:13 UTC

You can't prove other humans are sapient either though.

2018-09-02 04:12:14 UTC

tbf

2018-09-02 04:12:21 UTC

They can feel pain, but does that mean they have a consciousness or does it simply mean they have a neural centre?

2018-09-02 04:12:25 UTC

Exactly

2018-09-02 04:12:26 UTC

what even is sentience

2018-09-02 04:12:27 UTC

It's a big philosophical problem.

2018-09-02 04:12:45 UTC

Horses are one of few creatures that match human endurance levels. To have that on my side with the power of the human mind.

2018-09-02 04:13:00 UTC

sentience is definded as being able to percieve your surroundings. Sapience is defined as being aware of yourself.

2018-09-02 04:13:03 UTC

h

2018-09-02 04:13:04 UTC

being sentient is not even clear, so its hard to define what's and whats not

2018-09-02 04:13:10 UTC

oh

2018-09-02 04:13:13 UTC

h

2018-09-02 04:13:17 UTC

in french is way mroe anbiguous

2018-09-02 04:13:20 UTC

I guess what I'm getting at is that being a centaur would be pretty fucking ideal for the /k/ side of my life

2018-09-02 04:13:21 UTC

I think. Let me fact check that shit.

2018-09-02 04:13:29 UTC

no, it is to do something subjectively @Gray
