But no

2018-11-25 23:41:00 UTC

just a large gun with a couple support weaons, not a warlord with a giant gun

2018-11-25 23:41:11 UTC

Its not even a warlord

2018-11-25 23:41:22 UTC

the legs are the same

2018-11-25 23:41:25 UTC

It's a new class

2018-11-25 23:41:30 UTC

Yeah because they're legs

2018-11-25 23:41:36 UTC

its essentially the same hull

2018-11-25 23:41:50 UTC

Arguably

2018-11-25 23:42:24 UTC

I know its a new class but its based on the same chassis as the Warlord

2018-11-25 23:42:27 UTC

I mean the Honda accord and the Honda civic used to be the same chassis but not the same car

2018-11-25 23:42:51 UTC

the warlord chassis doesnt look very good with a single gun sticking out of the middle

2018-11-25 23:43:10 UTC

Er no, that's far more like the Reaver's legs

2018-11-25 23:43:39 UTC

With how this first iteration currently is, I am fairly certain this a command platform instead of a combat platform like the warlords are

2018-11-25 23:43:55 UTC

So the design is going to be different and allow for different things

2018-11-25 23:44:11 UTC

The Warlord's are digitigrade

2018-11-25 23:44:38 UTC

thats fair

2018-11-25 23:44:49 UTC

but istn it the same size as the warlord?

2018-11-25 23:45:08 UTC

I think its bigger mass wise

2018-11-25 23:45:15 UTC

Regarding the shoulders, underslung hard mounts would be able to support far more weight

2018-11-25 23:45:16 UTC

Wait reaver or this new one?

2018-11-25 23:45:17 UTC

I mean more as in hight

2018-11-25 23:45:29 UTC

Oh well without the gun then most likely yes

2018-11-25 23:46:15 UTC

A traditional shoulder puts the weight load perpendicular to the axis of motion, which is bad

2018-11-25 23:46:31 UTC

But gives a higher range of movement

2018-11-25 23:46:36 UTC

Yes

2018-11-25 23:46:53 UTC

And that's the point of these guns. High range of movement for "Oh fuck" moments

2018-11-25 23:47:25 UTC

This is a command/flagship kind of titan IMHO

2018-11-25 23:48:01 UTC

Hm

2018-11-25 23:48:19 UTC

So if it actually needs to use those guns its gonna need to move them fairly fast and at likely a more expansive range of movement than say a more heavy platform

2018-11-25 23:48:37 UTC

Because if something gets close enough to where it needs those guns

2018-11-25 23:48:49 UTC

Yeah in that regard it makes sense

2018-11-25 23:49:00 UTC

Yeah, that's my perspective on it

2018-11-25 23:49:03 UTC

As a support titan less so

2018-11-25 23:49:04 UTC

You may be right

2018-11-25 23:49:17 UTC

But I'm just giving my point of view based on its design

2018-11-25 23:49:43 UTC

"The Warbringer Nemesis Titan is a new class of god-machine armed with an artillery piece capable of transforming your chosen grid coordinates into a white-hot crater. This massive engine of destruction has been designed to look right at home alongside its brethren. It is our most detailed yet, with a crewed upper deck featuring a spotter, a loader and a massive, revolver-style loading mechanism for the main gun:"

2018-11-25 23:50:58 UTC

seems like its more of an Artillery piece, though it may be used as a fire support coordinator as well

2018-11-25 23:53:20 UTC

you could use this design with the gun replaced with comms relays and such, that would work as a command center to coordinate Marines, Ad Mech, Titans, Guard, etc on the field

2018-11-25 23:53:33 UTC

A more flattering angle; the shoulder joints are still weird as fuck

2018-11-25 23:53:49 UTC

that angle does look beter
