Full quadrails are heavy and useless, and the M5 is shit.

PEQ attached to the barrel won't lose zero

What actually gets attached to the weapon you may ask? While my experience is not all encompassing, what I was trained on included an M4A4, a red dot sight, a PEQ, and an IR monacle.

The other panels on the quadrail were useless and instead of adding unused cheesegrater and rail covers, we could just the the standard handguard

If the only thing im putting on the weapon outside the receiver rail is a PEQ that doesn't even need a rail, why add more than a pound to the end of the weapon?
