I think that's the century made break that they all have

2018-10-30 19:31:53 UTC

Nah he has a custom muzzlebreak

2018-10-30 19:32:18 UTC

It's a weird mixture of a German holed can muzzle break from WWII and a Rhodesian FAL compensator

2018-10-30 19:32:18 UTC

Like this?

2018-10-30 19:32:22 UTC

No

2018-10-30 19:32:26 UTC

Oh ok

2018-10-30 19:32:49 UTC

IIRC he used a "build your own break" kit

2018-10-30 19:33:16 UTC

There are such things?

2018-10-30 19:33:18 UTC

It has 3 single hole sections in a specific twist pattern to reduce drift and climb, and then like 3 extra holed can sections

2018-10-30 19:33:27 UTC

He autistically tuned it

2018-10-30 19:33:29 UTC

Yeah

2018-10-30 19:33:33 UTC

I can ask him about it

2018-10-30 19:33:55 UTC

This mans commitment to autism is something we all strive for

2018-10-30 19:34:21 UTC

No shit, I gotta get him an invite

2018-10-30 19:34:29 UTC

He'd fit in here like a snake in a sock

2018-10-30 19:36:47 UTC

@RoflTank Are you referring to the UM Tactical RAGE compensator?

2018-10-30 19:37:34 UTC

Yeeeeeeeeesssssssss, that's the one!

2018-10-30 19:37:41 UTC

Or close enough

2018-10-30 19:37:53 UTC

Works like a fucking charm

2018-10-30 19:38:19 UTC

Has anyone done any tests on the most effective barrel length for Tokarev?

2018-10-30 19:38:34 UTC

I doubt that they would have

2018-10-30 19:38:47 UTC

You can probably just math out the propellant burn time and gas dynamics

2018-10-30 19:39:04 UTC

And then take in to account shear friction between barrel and bullet

2018-10-30 19:39:41 UTC

It'd basically boil down to a kinematic equation with decreasing thrust over time, minus shear friction

2018-10-30 19:39:59 UTC

But the shear friction would also go up as... I think the square of speed?

2018-10-30 19:40:21 UTC

This is math territory I haven't yet familiarized myself with

2018-10-30 19:40:34 UTC

It's all pretty simple plug-n-play equations

2018-10-30 19:41:05 UTC

Just have to figure out which ones I need

2018-10-30 19:42:06 UTC

I guess you could modify a Gurney equation

2018-10-30 19:42:28 UTC

I mean a bullet *is* metal accelerated by explosives

2018-10-30 19:44:47 UTC

Was the CZ 52 using rollers attached to the inside of the slide or the outside of the chamber?

2018-10-30 19:45:40 UTC

A less convoluted way to ask is what are the rollers attached to and what are the receiving groves cut into

2018-10-30 19:45:54 UTC

I think I have one

2018-10-30 19:45:57 UTC

Let me check

2018-10-30 19:46:49 UTC

ugh ugly mussel flash on that G3

2018-10-30 19:48:53 UTC

Grooves are on the slide

2018-10-30 20:47:34 UTC

Birdcage or go home

2018-10-30 20:56:18 UTC

The fluting is done to assist with gas cycling, and also ejection. You can run steel all day in a roller-locked gun.

Roller locked guns will eat anything. It's a good benefit but good luck reloading the mangled remains of the casings
