@RoflTank I have two rifles with RAGE comps, they work well. Tuning takes some time tho.

2018-10-30 22:43:33 UTC

If you get one, be sure to loctite the set screws in the front collar

2018-10-30 22:45:35 UTC

Oooohhhhh yes, but once you tune it right it's a great comp. Fun fact, it's either modeled after or parallel devolped along the lines of a Rhodesian FAL comp

2018-10-30 22:46:03 UTC

It was an ingenious bit of engineering design to completely eliminate the recoil of an FAL firing on full auto

2018-10-31 01:21:15 UTC

@RoflTank IS THAT THE ROLLER LOCKED PISTOL OWO

2018-10-31 01:24:03 UTC

el shitty boi

2018-10-31 01:28:13 UTC

@Yusako Yeah it's a CZ 52

2018-10-31 01:28:41 UTC

Aren’t those both kinda expensive and notoriously unreliable?

2018-10-31 01:28:41 UTC

are there more roller locked systems

2018-10-31 01:28:49 UTC

why tho 😦

2018-10-31 01:28:52 UTC

they're cool

2018-10-31 01:28:55 UTC

No and no

2018-10-31 01:29:12 UTC

better than the TT and only like 500 or so for pretty good condition if I remember right

2018-10-31 01:29:14 UTC

I’ve heard they’re finicky from other folks, at least moreso than a tokarev

2018-10-31 01:29:15 UTC

why is roller delayed used more than roller locked

2018-10-31 01:29:16 UTC

It was maybe 200 and works like a charm

2018-10-31 01:29:19 UTC

Oh

2018-10-31 01:29:21 UTC

Ok

2018-10-31 01:29:54 UTC

@Yusako Im pretty sure they are the same thing

2018-10-31 01:30:04 UTC

no theyre not

2018-10-31 01:30:10 UTC

gun jesus told me so

2018-10-31 01:30:53 UTC

oh wait

2018-10-31 01:31:17 UTC

You have to buy good ammo for the vz52

2018-10-31 01:31:34 UTC

Russian surplus will work and older spec works

2018-10-31 01:31:50 UTC

Modern stuff is lowered pressure and won't cycle reliably

2018-10-31 01:31:59 UTC

roller locking uses the rollers to actually lock the bolt into place, whereas Roller delayed uses similar rollers to just delay the blowback, but doesnt itself lock the mechanism

2018-10-31 01:32:15 UTC

yes i know

2018-10-31 01:32:15 UTC

but

2018-10-31 01:32:25 UTC

why is delayed use so much more often then locked

2018-10-31 01:32:38 UTC

Toggle lock coolest mechanism
Flapper lock close second

2018-10-31 01:32:59 UTC

Straight blowback gang

2018-10-31 01:33:14 UTC

because other locking systems are generally good enough, and cheaper/more easy to maintain/use

2018-10-31 01:33:22 UTC

120mm blowback gang

2018-10-31 01:34:21 UTC

also uh, this is me being dumb but

2018-10-31 01:34:44 UTC

The difference between roller lock and roller delay is not the interface of the bolt but the action of the entire barrel

2018-10-31 01:34:56 UTC

things like a gau-6 dont need locking cause the barres are fixed so they can turn adn the pressure is safe by the time it does a revolution?

2018-10-31 01:35:01 UTC

On a locking gun, the bolt and barrel recoil as one unit

2018-10-31 01:35:10 UTC

On a delayed gun the barrel is fixed

2018-10-31 01:35:25 UTC

oh so thats how they are functionally different

2018-10-31 01:35:27 UTC

thank you

2018-10-31 01:35:35 UTC

The bolts could actually be identical
