All on the stock
Damn nigga
That’s a lot of history in one rifle
Yuup
Is it a stutzen or full length?
Stutz
Some things suggest that she used to be full length at one point
fugg
Not bubba'd
That’s like, Finn mosin tier
For amount of owners and conversions
A real oddball
Just the wood panels at the end of the rifle look like they were recut. Albeit professionally or at least by someone who knew exactly what they were doing
Duffle cut or actual repair?
I assume just whenever the rifle was shortened if it was shortened. They didnt wanna toss out the wood so they just cut it I'd assume
It doesn't have any varnish like the rest of the rifle. Just a small layer to seal it so it doesnt rot
I just hate the import mark is on the underside of the barrel
Thankfully you cant realy see it so its whatever
Mother of god the
I love ‘em
Ye
She's real beaten up though
Like this rifle has surely seen some shit
Two world wars
The worst bits of both, I imagine
Yeah
It would have been a substitute standard rifle for both Germanys, and not given to the best of troops
Either the Westfront shooting Frenchman in the streets or more likely the hell of the Ostfront in some alley of Stalingrad or even the fields of Poland
That’s like my No.4
She’s a 1942, and a little beat up
Either way it somehow survived long enough to get all the way back to the states and kept in well almost perfect condition for how old it is
Not in awful shape, mind, just got some dents and dings
76 year old rifle though, so
I imagine she probably saw Italy or France
Then wound up this side of the pond on a Canadian, or as surplus post war
I refuse to shoot anything other than PPU out of her
I don't trust anything else
>tfw Italy is more free than California or Massachusetts
