I never had an ariska
I'm a shameless hornady shill tbh. I ran the 195gr eld match tips because they ran so smoothly
Oh I thought we were still talking about Arisaka
Honestly arisakas aren't the worst choice but ehh
I've been wanting a 300 win mag for a bit, how's it treating ya
Yeah Arisakas are cool
Hornady would be great if it wasn't for the fact they're like twice the cost for mostly marginal performance differences.
Most guns run Federal pretty well
I'm a special case for 300
I did hand loads so the cost difference is minimal
Ahh
I had a nice little rcbs press
Well I'm a PPU shill because that stuff is fuckin great for everything.
I'm a shameless shill for hornady/rcbs
Legit 3 generations of my family have used them
I'm partial to hornady, PPU, maxxtech and Aguila because that's what one had good experience with, though keep in mind I just kill paper at 25y at the moment, so the performance difference is marginal
I'll probably get more picky when I start hand loading/hunting/Long range shooting
tbf you're looking for solid brass and propellant more than anything with reloading
A G7 boat is a G7 boat
unless they somehow fucked the mould they're pretty much all the same AFAIK
I know, as far as FMJ projectiles there's little difference, outside maybe quality control rigorousness. But for having fun at close range that doesn't really change anything
Arisakas are based man
Honestly pretty top tier service rifles
You just gotta be careful when you buy one and not get a trainer cause they blow up with normal rounds
Yeah, one of the stronger bolt lock ups of the period
>tfw rescued Arisaka
And the fucking bayonets make me nut
Oh yeah, if you can find one in ok condition restore that shit
Type 30 is mega nutt tier bayonet
when i first bought it
afterwards
Nice work
not a lot i can do about the mum
Traded Sadmin an Arisaka bolt for an original dust cover
@Sadmin you ever get around to restoring that Arisaka?
Yeah, the scope mount holes can't really fix that, maybe put some set screws in there to plug the holes?
Remind me that next time I visit my uncle in New York I need to get the Arisaka that was promised to me years ago
