I think the specialized leatherman/gerber tools only really make sense if carrying a gun is your day job

2019-01-03 14:21:41 UTC

Otherwise you’re carrying a bunch of junk that you’re not gonna use

2019-01-03 14:22:52 UTC

Or you work in a trade field

2019-01-03 14:24:00 UTC

I found leatherman too bulky for EDC. I carry a Victorinox SAK.

2019-01-03 14:24:19 UTC

When I’m working on stuff, I carry a gerber where I can open the pliers one handed

2019-01-03 14:24:21 UTC

I keep it in my bag

2019-01-03 14:26:45 UTC

I keep mine on my belt

2019-01-03 14:27:10 UTC

I carried a wave for years but it went missing on me a few months back and I wound up getting the one hander

2019-01-03 14:27:20 UTC

Which is mediocre

2019-01-03 14:27:39 UTC

Wearing a multitool on your belt lol

2019-01-03 14:29:02 UTC

using it every day at work lol

2019-01-03 14:29:19 UTC

Not wearing it like that in public lol

2019-01-03 14:40:15 UTC

I keep mine mollied to my rigs belt for context

2019-01-03 14:44:19 UTC

Its just easier to carry it and a little oil bottle for quick cleans rather than a full kit

2019-01-03 14:44:25 UTC

*belt rig

2019-01-03 14:48:26 UTC

I wear mine every day

2019-01-03 14:50:36 UTC

@Eddyward98 Are you military or LE?

2019-01-03 14:52:16 UTC

Military

2019-01-03 14:52:38 UTC

LE can clean adter a shift

2019-01-03 14:53:29 UTC

2019-01-03 14:53:38 UTC

Not at all intended

2019-01-03 17:05:57 UTC

Hey guys gonna do a practice bit of leatherworking on some pouches.

2019-01-03 17:06:10 UTC

What revolver caliber? I don't own one so I would need a bullet measurement. Or should I do a 6.5 Swede pouch? 🤔

2019-01-03 17:06:38 UTC

Do an old time-y ammo pouch

2019-01-03 17:06:41 UTC

I am.

2019-01-03 17:06:44 UTC

Just a loose cartridge one

2019-01-03 17:07:56 UTC

2019-01-03 17:08:06 UTC

2019-01-03 17:08:12 UTC

Or a drop case for revolver

2019-01-03 17:10:11 UTC

Do 45 lc

2019-01-03 17:10:27 UTC

For maximum (repro) cowboy

2019-01-03 19:54:15 UTC

@Alvor_the_Warhawk. KS23 is a gun only used by Russian OMON, basically the guards at maximum security prison. Like if Corrections Officers had a swat team.

Civilian hunters in the soviet union would have usually a double barrel shotgun of various models (BM-34 most common o/u BM-16 s/s). There was 1 semiauto shotgun in the soviet union for civilians, the MTS-21. Basically a copy of the italian Breda, this was a fairly expensive gun, usually owned by professional hunters. It had a 30 inch barrel and held 4 shells, but its not inconceivable for someone to saw off the end or extend the tube.

A shotgun for short range shredding should have an open choke, which a sawn off shotgun would have (basically it just means the tube is the same diameter from chamber to muzzle)

@Reichtangle Hey, leaf, do you have 6.5 Swede on hand?

2019-01-03 20:03:11 UTC

@YoureWaifu I'll do that next if you can yeet some measurements of a single bullet my way
