To ask for more is ridiculous.
Which is what the context of the conversation was.
Actually they aren't fine
There are holes in the system and bullshit that needs to be cut out
The fix nics bill that was ruined was actually a good thing for gun owners
The NRA wanted to go a lot further with that "ruined," bill.
If you don't like the databases together you get people who are barred from owning guns passing 4473s no problem and nobody knows until they shoot a church
Which was the context of the conversation on instagram that Mac and I were discussing
Well the NRA is shit
I said before it was ruined
Get the systems in place working properly and problems stop
^
Nics has holes in it
Continued screeching about private transactions doesn't solve the fact that people who have abuse convictions have bought guns to do harm, when it shouldn't have been possible in the first place
It's easier to yell about banning though instead of comprehensive connections of every police and judicial database in the country
Funnily enough, the latter is cheaper than the former
It would cost about 10 mil to overhaul and fix nics
Yeah I don't disagree.
Confiscating/buying back every gun actively harms the economy and puts people's lives in danger
My fear is the NRA spearheading a terrible bill that is a footnote or keystone that drives us to European gun control levels.
As far as interlinking databases - they're already there, so it's not like it's anything more that needs to be done barring linking them. They each exist separately atm. You won't find me arguing against linking them, that's pretty common sense shit.
It would have stopped the Dallas shooter. He had been dishonorably discharged for beating his wife.
But, because the USAF mis-filed and the databases aren't linked, he got a gun easier than most people.
Actually, I dunno if it was dishonorable. I think it was OTH or Gen sep.
But, same shit different day.
Oth but still a dv conviction
Hell, half of these fucks don't even own their own guns even most of the time when they go blasting
The Vegas guy didn't even make sense for using bump stocks because at his wealth level, he could've easily bought legitimate full autos
Yeah he'd not touch a gun.
Shitbag
The natural right to defend one's self shouldn't be infringed upon and I believe those with the intention to harm another person will choose their weaponry whether they're legal to use them or not.
Basically. The guy wanted noguns, to stop criminals.
I told him outlaws are called outlaws because they're outside the law.
Fucking fudds dude
I can see where Swamp was coming from but, this dude wanted background checks so strict only a limited few people got guns
I dunno why 9mmsmg draws out the canadian and american fudds
Example of criminals with guns is easy. Brazil
^
That's why their president wants guns back for the public.
Fudds are a scourge
