ehhh
ranging is quick like a tank sight
the M21s initially used Leatherwood scope
which had a ballistic cam that set the range
after you "boxed" your target with the reticle
they were more or less phased out after vietnam
hence the scramble in afghanistan with the EBR chassis
Damn
I didnt realize autoranging was a thing in nam
as far as the SVD goes, you can actually take a training course run by a former spetz SVD gunner
Do people actually use the ebr?
that teaches you how they ran SVDs
I've heard it heavy as shit
It's been around for awhile
yea, it's 15lbs
Damn
that's with a rack grade M14
not a medium or heavy weight
every branch used them for a bit
navy was still using M14s on ships for a while
But that's _navy_
yea, but the army, navy, and marines had their own
What advantage does it have over ar style systems like the g28 or sr25?
Marines had the M39
it doesn't
They already had them
Oh
Fair enough
it's all the downsides of an M14
in a heavier chassis
that shoots better

Whenever I think of the M14 EBR it gives me nostalgia for COD MW
Not going to lie
yup
kinda why I got one
I wanted one for awhile but when I looked into it and saw the price I decided against it
Built an AR10 for cheaper
