It was impromptu friend

2019-01-29 00:42:02 UTC

if we were actually intended to do rescue, we would have been fine

2019-01-29 00:42:32 UTC

You used the wrong tool and your knife snapped

2019-01-29 00:43:01 UTC

there are a lot of knives out there at $100 or less

2019-01-29 00:43:34 UTC

A knife is a pretty decent multi-tool though. That's what they're intended to be. Cutters, choppers, whittlers, defense tools.
I thought a big name like Spyderco would stand up to it

2019-01-29 00:43:42 UTC

Folders are fine 99% of the time.

2019-01-29 00:43:49 UTC

So Franklin Armory staff at SHOT were instructed specifically to not talk to Karl and Ian

2019-01-29 00:43:56 UTC

2019-01-29 00:44:02 UTC

Still hilarious

2019-01-29 00:44:03 UTC

2019-01-29 00:44:05 UTC

Never had a problem because I don't misuse them

2019-01-29 00:44:08 UTC

you could buy a gerber LMF II if you want a "survival knife"

2019-01-29 00:44:12 UTC

for under $100

2019-01-29 00:44:22 UTC

My dude spyderco is fine and will take a lot of shit

2019-01-29 00:44:36 UTC

That's asking a lot for any folder

2019-01-29 00:44:45 UTC

CRKT

2019-01-29 00:45:01 UTC

My brother had a good CRKT knife

2019-01-29 00:45:04 UTC

it cut really well

2019-01-29 00:45:15 UTC

if you want to drop $500 on a folder, Zero Tolerance or Microtech

2019-01-29 00:45:30 UTC

Micro tech is good

2019-01-29 00:45:48 UTC

Again I already shilled for emerson but they aren't for everyone

2019-01-29 00:46:04 UTC

Cold Steel isn't bad either depending on the knife, only had minor rust issues with them.

2019-01-29 00:46:06 UTC

I mean at least I don't unironically carry a Karambit

2019-01-29 00:46:22 UTC

Cold steel is cheap for a reason

2019-01-29 00:46:32 UTC

^

2019-01-29 00:46:32 UTC

if you buy anything from cold steel, it better be a kukri machete

2019-01-29 00:46:38 UTC

Cold Steel is almost disposable

2019-01-29 00:46:39 UTC

probably the most useful thing the sell

2019-01-29 00:46:47 UTC

I’ve broken a few cold steels

2019-01-29 00:46:54 UTC

Their training weapons are good for cosplay @MAC21500

2019-01-29 00:47:01 UTC

If you want a cheap worker get a Mora

2019-01-29 00:47:13 UTC

Morakniv are good

2019-01-29 00:47:15 UTC

Carry a baton

2019-01-29 00:47:17 UTC

ceramic knives

2019-01-29 00:47:21 UTC

For affordable folders I like kershaw

2019-01-29 00:47:52 UTC

I've used the trailmaster a lot without any problems. Their larger knives tend to be good for the price point. Largest issue I've had with any of them has been rust.

2019-01-29 00:48:19 UTC

My kershaws hold an edge extremely well

2019-01-29 00:48:53 UTC

I had a really nice d2 knife but it was a bitch to sharpen *if* it went dull

2019-01-29 00:49:10 UTC

Use a swiss army knife
