I'm currently shooting 7.65 Browning, which is just hot 32 ACP, out of a Barretta M35
I don't really care for the price of 7.65 currently and I don't like how much 32 ACP sounds like a firecracker

and the mags are $45 a piece unless they're glock mags

or CZ 75 mags or something else old

I've shot a G19 and a G22. I didn't like either of them.
I've shot a SIG 225, 226, and 229. I like them, they fit my hands really well, but I don't like the price tags.
I've shot a USP9, a HK23, a PPQ, they're fun and fit my hands well, but dat price tag.
I've shot a Makarov and a CZ ( can't remember which CZ coz it was about 3 years ago) and the CZ fit my hands alright but the Makarov felt weird when shooting it. Uncomfortable but not like painfully uncomfortable

and I'd be fine with a full size but I'm really looking for a carry gun

Aside from autoloaders though, I've always enjoyed wheely-bois.
I'd carry a .38 or a .357 police trade in most likely coz we have a lot of those down here in the more rural areas coz the Sheriffs have a tradition of carrying revolvers for formal reasons but still have an autoloader for serious shit.

If you have an option to do otherwise, carrying a revolver is dumb.
