M14’s are obsolescent and heavy but fun guns
I wanna drop deer with mine tbh
It’s so weird seeing those pictures of that bullpup m14 actually deployed
I wouldn’t even call it particularly fun. I had a lot more fun shooting my FAL
I found everything on my M1A awkward. Shooting, maintenance
fun is relative
Stating my opinion
I have a FAL
it's about as fun as the M1A
trigger is awful
Military guns have military triggers
but the M1A has a better trigger
Sure
My M14 has a meh trigger but is otherwise fine
But the safety in the trigger guard I am not a fan of
I had to lap the locking thing on the hammer though
heck, i dare say even the G3s I've fired have better triggers
And while rock and lock mags are fine, they were a pain in the M1A
Because the chinks parkerized the inside of the trigger
My M1A has a really sweet trigger
Wish I could have a FAL. Retard Canadian law calls it *Prohibited* because our military fielded them for a long while.
But an AR isn’t so, luckily.
M1A Carbine, lemme specify
FAL is pretty clever - there’s a wall to index the mag against.
they didn't field FALs, they used L1A1s, totally different 😛
Hell my old M1895 Steyr has a really nice trigger too and it's original stamp is for 1916
Also there are a ton of variations in FALs with all the parts kits and countries.
least favorite magwell goes to the G3
But the majority of M1As are Springfield Armory.
Unless you get into the gucci guns
ehhhh
the Fultons are out there
$1700 for an M1A standard is pretty spendy
Not really
the other available versions aren't much more
List for a Springfield is $1600, isn’t it?
and when we could get the Norinco M14S
hah
nope
$1700
700$
