mine was six something on sale

2019-02-06 03:53:48 UTC

Stripper clips are neat... but not much more

2019-02-06 03:54:19 UTC

Yeah. They’re an antiquated idea. Poor people thoughts

2019-02-06 03:54:22 UTC

I originally had a stripper clip top cover on my first FAL because California

2019-02-06 03:54:24 UTC

Is anyone even making FAL recievers now that coonan is "restructuring"

2019-02-06 03:54:31 UTC

slim pickins

2019-02-06 03:54:33 UTC

Poor government thoughts I should say

2019-02-06 03:54:38 UTC

DSA and that's about it

2019-02-06 03:54:40 UTC

iirc

2019-02-06 03:55:10 UTC

DSA's new FAL line is pretty spendy as well

2019-02-06 03:55:20 UTC

they made a 6.5 creedmoor version for some reason...

2019-02-06 03:55:39 UTC

now you can get 3-4MOA with 6.5 Creedmoor!

2019-02-06 03:55:43 UTC

lol

2019-02-06 03:56:21 UTC

The M1A1 Carbine has stripper clips.
There fun and actually easy to load and reload. I've got like 12 of em. But I don't really need them or ever use them since I have 5, 15 round mags

2019-02-06 03:57:06 UTC

I find it interesting that the G3 wasn't designed with stripper clips in mind

2019-02-06 03:57:14 UTC

but the FAL and M14 were

2019-02-06 03:57:31 UTC

A 6.5 FAL...

2019-02-06 03:57:35 UTC

A 6.5 FAL would be neat

2019-02-06 03:57:42 UTC

6.5x55 mebbe

2019-02-06 03:57:48 UTC

I understand some militaries use the SA58. Why not more? I’m surprised at least more militaries didn’t modernize their FALs as there’s so many around

2019-02-06 03:58:04 UTC

it was the Right Arm of the Free World

2019-02-06 03:58:10 UTC

Poors did the rest went intermediate rounds

2019-02-06 03:58:11 UTC

🅱 ig think

2019-02-06 03:58:19 UTC

Because warfare has moved on to intermediate cartridges.

2019-02-06 03:58:24 UTC

^^^^^

2019-02-06 03:58:30 UTC

Because everyone who had FAL’s was in nato and nato went “yes we must have 5.56”

2019-02-06 03:58:37 UTC

That’s true, with the shift to 556

2019-02-06 03:58:39 UTC

The time for battle rifles had passed

2019-02-06 03:59:00 UTC

There’s still a use for DMR’s on a section level

2019-02-06 03:59:07 UTC

But proper battle rifles are done

2019-02-06 03:59:11 UTC

I guess there was enough of a gap between them and the kind of resurgence of battle rifles and DMRs

2019-02-06 04:00:20 UTC

?

2019-02-06 04:02:42 UTC

I mean not like they ever went away but now with military’s fielding SCAR17s and 417s it’s weird you don’t see them modernizing their old FALs that are in storage

2019-02-06 04:03:01 UTC

But that can probably be as expensive as new rifles sometimes I guess

2019-02-06 04:03:15 UTC

Not for general use (for the most part)
