It's fun

2019-02-06 04:50:05 UTC

I used to work in retail with foreigners some things stuck

2019-02-06 04:50:05 UTC

Not my self defense pistol though

2019-02-06 04:50:27 UTC

get to a rental range and shoot a G19 and some other pistols

2019-02-06 04:50:34 UTC

^^^^

2019-02-06 04:50:35 UTC

They are fun. And frankly I find them very comfy. Yeah though not for practical usage

2019-02-06 04:50:36 UTC

G19 is pretty bulletproof

2019-02-06 04:50:47 UTC

newbies can't mess it up

2019-02-06 04:50:56 UTC

For your first gun you want something simple

2019-02-06 04:51:01 UTC

I'll make some time and do just that

2019-02-06 04:51:24 UTC

I have a Mechtech carbine for the glock that is more fun though

2019-02-06 04:52:21 UTC

Don’t let the gun counter man talk you into anything

2019-02-06 04:52:27 UTC

^^^

2019-02-06 04:52:35 UTC

Especially G R I P Z O N E

2019-02-06 04:52:40 UTC

Gun shop folks are notorious for bad advice

2019-02-06 04:52:40 UTC

I know the retail workers lies

2019-02-06 04:52:45 UTC

I was that once

2019-02-06 04:53:25 UTC

Not for guns but just upsells for crap products

2019-02-06 04:54:02 UTC

Coming from a noguns shithole makes me happy to finally haverights

2019-02-06 04:54:35 UTC

“From the fun counter” is a great meme page to follow though. Owned by a gun store employee who clearly is better informed and had a bit more empathy than most

2019-02-06 04:58:37 UTC

Will do, for other advice I used to keep a downed operator kit in my old equipment is there a better alternative to it?

2019-02-06 05:35:09 UTC

I'd honestly love to have my own gunshop, simply so I can just carry good quality stuff for not insane prices and educate people on shit.

2019-02-06 06:14:02 UTC

ah yes, educate people on your own dime

2019-02-06 06:14:07 UTC

might as well have a few kids

Closet slav will back you up when the ATF arrives but only if you reply 🇷🇺

2019-02-06 06:38:56 UTC

🇷🇺

2019-02-06 06:42:55 UTC

ohhh, so that's what they keep in those closets

2019-02-06 07:08:53 UTC

@ArchMagos Consus as far as a better alternative, get an IFAK with a SOF-T or CAT tourniquet and learn how to use everything properly

2019-02-06 07:25:54 UTC

Some electrical tape, duct tape, some paperclips, medical wrappings, anti septic, and some water resistant general purpose bandaids

2019-02-06 07:25:56 UTC

There you go

2019-02-06 07:26:01 UTC

A basic med kit

2019-02-06 07:26:48 UTC

Oh and some over the counter painkillers, but make sure you can pack some cotton or something inside the bottle of the painkillers so they don't make that tell-tale sound whenever you move

2019-02-06 07:28:06 UTC

Don't use the paperclips that are covered in rubber

2019-02-06 07:28:28 UTC

Makes it unnecessarily difficult to use them as stitches

2019-02-06 07:28:52 UTC

Stitches? Staples?

2019-02-06 07:28:57 UTC

*Sutures*

2019-02-06 07:29:00 UTC

That's the word

2019-02-06 07:30:26 UTC

Fishing hooks and line

2019-02-06 08:03:10 UTC

If you don't have skill a safety pin is better than a paperclip. You can also use it to secure an airway or pin down a dressing

2019-02-06 08:05:58 UTC

In general carry stuff you know how to use, for problems you are likely to have. For example the above list fails to include gloves which you will want if your kit is meant for use on other people
