So I put together my first AR and I've yet to shoot it, however the action feels kind of rough even though I've oiled it plenty. I'm used to owning used firearms, so I'm assuming that it'll smooth out once I break it in with a couple hundred rounds or so. Is that correct?
Did you put it together fully or did you assemble the lower and just pop an upper on it
Assembled the lower and popped the upper on it.
I'd double check your lower just in case, check your bolt in case they did something fucky at the factory
more lube
lemme tell ye what ya got fuckin do

A guy I know installed his trigger spring flipped

I've looked over the lower and everything seems to be in order, and whenever I look over the BCG I don't notice anything immediately.
I can smell the phosphate coming off when I rack the charging handle.
What brand are the components?
Hi-Standard lower w/ an Aero Upper.
primarily who made the upper n lower
hmm
Yeah, Hi-Standard went out of business and you can get their lowers w/ parts for $60 shipped
hk416 upper
And I got an anderson lower
Radian stock
Now now, don't hurt the boy
Is Hi-Standard as bad as Anderson?
>anderson
REEEEEEEEEEE
I’ve witnessed someone shoot a brand new Anderson only for all of the pins in the upper fly out
They have some fuckin awful QC
Turns out each hole was 1/3000th larger than they were supposed to be
And the pressure made them fly out
Oh and a PSA barrel
Century barrel
I’m gonna run it and see if it loosens up this weekend
I’ve got a gut feeling that’ll resolve it
I might buy an aero complete lower just to see if the fit is better
You can’t have too many lowers
BEHOLD
