Even though it is my religion, I got very vague understanding of it's history

Except for Methodius and Cirilius around this region, it is debatable if they had slavic or byzantic origins

But they did spread Orthodox Christianity all the way to Asia Minor

And educated thousands

there is a part of the Christian faith that believes the only way to heaven is to know "God"

what part is that?

Shrug, not a hardcore believer in Christianity myself

Do lean more agnostic

But on paper am Orthodox
